  • Quad Core performance, Price, Optimized for upcoming Windows 7, Reverse Compatibility, DDR2 and DDR3 Memory support,
  • NONE!!,
  • Until now, the $100 price range has been dominated by the dual core Phenom II and the tri core Phenom II, with good performance from both. Any system built around either of these two chips would easily meet the performance needs expected of them for th...

  • AMD has not reinvented the wheel with the Athlon II X4 series of chips. They are not disruptive products from a performance standpoint, and they bring nothing particularly new to the marketplace. Except price of course. When we consider that, ...

  • Inexpensive; good performance for the price; supporting motherboards are also inexpensive; supports virtualization
  • Noticeably slower than higher-end chips when running multicore-capable applications
  • The first quad-core processor priced at under $100, the Athlon II X4 620 offers snappy, if not record-setting, performance at a bargain-basement price. Its an excellent pick for budget-strapped PC builders and upgraders. ...

  • Nothing incredible in terms of design, but it’s an impressively cheap way to get quad-core in your PC. ...

  • It seems that with Intel’s Lynnfield hitting the shelves now, AMD is trying to get as many CPUs as they can out to compete. While it’s a good effort by AMD to keep the line up and running, it really seems that the days of K10 are numbered in t...

  • Low L2 cache and no L3 cache...
  • I have to say, I am very impressed with the new Athlon II X4 series processor. This baby performed very well despite having a low L2 cache, no L3 cache and a low clock speed of 2.6GHz. While it was no match for the Intel i7 series, it did come close w...

  • Abstract:  Verdict: An amazingly cheap quad-core processor, but its small cache means it's not an all-rounder. AMD has released so many processors recently that even we've been struggling to keep up. It has even muddied the dividing line between its brands, la...

  • Bargain price it retails around £7080, It Overclocks like a dream, Performs as well or better than a Phenom 955 at similar speeds.
  • You need to overclock to get the best out of it.
  • As you can see from the results of the numerous benchmarks for the most part at similar clock speeds the AMD X4 620 is toe to toe with its more expensive stable mate. I believe this is almost certainly down to the fact that due to the higher bus speed...

  • Abstract:  AMD continue to drive us mad with their product names (there is no reason why this chip could not be called the Phenom 2 X4 620) but as far as the product itself goes it is hard not to be impressed.
