  • Abstract:  For a long time now, if you've been looking for the very best in slim, light laptops, you've had to turn - however reluctantly - to Apple's MacBook family. With great battery life, top quality displays, zippy performance that doesn't deteriorate over time...

  • nice industrial design, splendid build quality, matte IPS display, good keyboard and trackpad, fast hardware, no bloatware on this version, mostly noiseless, punchy speakers, good battery life, affordable starting prices
  • surprisingly dim display (see the Screen chapter), charges slowly, can get hot, annoying white LED next to the trackpad, touchscreen equipped models are pricey
  • Dell did a great job with the XPS 13 9343. They created a compact and light laptop with a 13 inch display, fast hardware, good keyboard/trackpad and long battery life, and on top of all these, a laptop with very little flaws. On the other hand, the proper...

  • Buildquality, Extremely compact, Weight, Highcontrast matte screen, Accurate colorimetry, Decent processing power
  • Limited connectivity, Underpowered GPU, Unimpressive speakers, Heats up
  • Well-built, extremely compact and with an impressive battery life and beautiful display, the XPS 13 is a real success story. It'll be great for anyone wanting a truly transportable device, something that you can put in your bag and take with you anywhere....

  • Excellent allround performance, sturdy and stylish build
  • Slightly patchy display, battery life could be better
  • If you want the performance and desirability of a MacBook Pro but need to run Windows, the Dell XPS 13 is the laptop for you...

  • The Dell XPS 13 9343 stands as a shining beacon of hope in the world of Windows laptops, a compact laptop that outdoes the obvious competition in some key respects like screen quality and near-borderless display. Here is a 13.3-inch laptop that takes up l...

  • Unparalleled infinity screen design, powerful overall performance, small and lightweight, the Windows 8 laptop to give Apple something to chew on
  • Fan noise under little pressure, screen a little too glossy, battery life should be better (12,000mAh expansion pack accessory is available however)
  • Despite a few of minor moans – some fan noise, a slightly reflective screen and exaggerated battery life claims – there's not an equivalent Windows laptop we can commend more highly than the Dell XPS 13. It's enough to give Apple something to chew o...

  • Dell's revamped XPS 13 has a nearly borderless display, a very small body for a 13-inch laptop and the latest Intel CPUs. Battery life in this lower-end configuration gets a big boost
  • Dropping the higher-resolution screen and edge-to-edge glass overlay means the look is not as slick, and losing touch makes Windows 8 harder to use
  • Taking a second look at the new XPS 13, this lower-end version costs less and has better battery life, but isn't as tightly designed....

  • Abstract:  Dell is starting out 2015 with a bang. The new Dell XPS 13 (MSRP: $799, $1,399.99 as tested) reimagines how an ultrabook should look by introducing a clever new design element. It's easy to imagine every other laptop manufacturer reconsidering how they're...

  • Abstract:  Showing off the laptop for the first time in a low key press briefing on Tuesday , Dell claimed the XPS 13 is the "smallest 13in notebook in the world, fitting a 13.3in screen into the size of a typical 11in notebook"....
