  • Motion controller works great, Lightweight, Mostly comfortable, Washable face cushion, Interesting choice of build materials, Solid value
  • Only compatible with the Google Pixel (for now), Pentile display makes reading text extremely difficult, Major performance issues with extended use (overheating), Not compatible with Google Cardboard apps, Could be a bit more formfitting
  • Google is hoping to hit a sweet spot with consumers by offering a VR experience that's both competent and affordable. The Daydream View is both of these things and, slight performance issues aside, anyone even thinking about investing in VR down the line...

  • Affordable, portable and easy to set up. The bundled motion controller is convenient and easy to use. Exclusive YouTube, Google Street View and Google Photos feel like potential killer apps
  • It only works with Google Pixel and Moto Z for now (more on the way). The headset is front-heavy and frequently needs adjusting. There's limited app selection at launch and you can't walk around or grab things in VR
  • The Daydream View is the simplest, most affordable way to turn a phone into an immersive VR headset...

  • Comfortable, stylish design, Extremely affordable, Controller accurate and intuitive
  • Not as visually sharp as competition, Lacks integrated audio
  • Google is on the cusp of VR greatness with the Daydream View. Made from comfortable, breathable athleisure, the VR headset is more stylish than any head-mounted display has a right to be. The included controller is intuitive and offers agile, rather accur...

  • Materials make device look and feel premium, Controller feels light but legit, controls feel natural, Works with Google's new Daydream VR software, Big name brands onboard for future software, Comfortable to wear and adjust on the fly
  • Price is too close to that of Gear VR, which is far more powerful, Not a lot of games available at launch, Does not come with protective cover for lenses, Wirelessness means limited VR time
  • The Google Daydream View headset and controller are two parts of a future I'm glad to be a part of. With it, I'm able to see new environments and play games that defy traditional notions of what computers are able to be for their users. I'm also able to g...

  • Inexpensive, Comfortable, Motion controller makes VR immersive, High-quality VR experiences
  • Not many apps yet, More Daydream phones are coming, but aren't here yet
  • The Daydream View is a solid first attempt at a mobile VR headset. It's comfortable and VR experiences look great. The only problem is there aren't many apps available for it yet. Hardware There are so many mobile VR headsets out there now that...

  • Lightweight and comfortable design, wide field of view, effective wireless controller
  • Review: Google Daydream View
  • The Google Daydream View is a comfortable and effective VR system for a compatible phone, and is probably about as good as the technology gets at this point. Just make sure that the Daydream app is compatible with your phone, although you can still use th...
