  • Abstract:  PS3 overview by Patrick Evans - Disarming bombs, arming bombs, and struggling against melee attacks is nice, but wouldn't it have been nice to see a little more than that? Credit CoD 3 for doing more with this feature than most. We at CCC have been sorely...

  • Abstract:  When Wolfenstein 3-D came out, I was immediately in love. It was the first game that allowed players to walk around in a first-person view while shooting Nazi hordes. This was groundbreaking in its time but since its release, first-person games where you...

  • Better graphics than COD2; same great gameplay; solid multiplayer
  • Feels a bit too familiar; lots of glitches; freezes a lot, The Normandy Breakout, Activision, Call of Duty 3 takes place in 1944 during the Normandy Breakout where the focus of allied forces was to drive the Germans out of France. You’ll play in campaigns featuring American, British, Canadian, and Polish forces. It is particularly nice and refreshing to play as Canadian and Polish soldier

  • Abstract:  Great graphics and amazing action for this new console system, but the lack of multiplayer support sucks big time. Worth a look if you want some decent PS3 FPS action.

  • Polished graphics, lighting, and smoke effects; stellar sound effects and musical score; action is relentless and thrilling; vehicular segments offer a nice change of pace; online multiplayer is addictive and a big improvement over Call of Duty 2; minigam...
  • Single player campaign would be even better with online co-op; random spawning in online multiplayer is confusing and the cause of many unnecessary in-game fatalities.
  • Fans of WWII shooters have yet another great game to sink their teeth into. Featuring improved multiplayer and spiffed-up graphics, Call of Duty 3 is arguably the best game in the series to date. Definitely worth the price of admission.

  • Abstract:  A year after its initial release on the Xbox 360, and there (still) isnt a World War II first-person shooter that comes anywhere close to Call of Duty 2. Despite it not quite convincing in the next-gen stakes, the gaming critics loved Activision and...

  • Abstract:  This is a trying time for the Call of Duty franchise. The original developers, Infinity Ward, are off on some mystery project after the success of the first two games, and now Treyarch, creators of a couple of current-gen console spin-offs in the Call...

  • Abstract:  However, if there is anything that COD3 can be faulted for, it’s simply being part of the wrong, outdated genre. COD3 relays a decent storyline and intense set of missions, but after playing more than 20 different FPS WWII games in the last five yea...

  • As much as Call of Duty 2 defined the Xbox 360 as a launch title, you simply can’t imagine what Treyarch has done with the franchise until you see it in action. They have really mastered the technical horsepower of the 360 and advanced the series in...
