  • Abstract:  The uniqueness in the Flip Mino comes from is its combination of portability and point-and-shoot features. The touch-sensitive buttons give us shades of the iPod on a camcorder for the first time, but they also take some acclimatization since it's so easy...

  • Still extremely userfriendly. It's lighter than its predecessor and has a handy editing feature now.
  • Still no HD option, and why the piddly 2GB memory?
  • A minor improvement over the Flip Video Ultra, but an improvement nonetheless, the Flip Mino is a fun camcorder, until you realise you want your home videos to look the bomb....

  • Abstract:  This is the second incarnation of the rather good Flip Video Ultra. This unit is smaller slimmer and aimed at the teenager and twenties market. Everything else works the same as the original product launched in the UK last year....

  • The Flip Mino is sleek, pocketable and easy to use. The video quality also excels. However, the somewhat pricey Minos video-uploading software can be slow and buggy and the buttons are overly sensitive. Tim Moynihan and Melissa Perenson Lowest online...

  • Flipping heck, the Mino is easy to use. The original one-button wonder is back, with less flab (it weighs just 94g), a rechargeable battery and more smarts. You can now fast forward and rewind in the camera, with touch-sensitive buttons adding much-needed...
  • Some things haven’t changed. There’s still 2GB of built-in memory (enough for an hour of average quality video) with no memory card slot for expansion. And the zoom remains just a blocky digital effort instead of real moving optics.
  • There’s no easier or quicker way to get your real world antics online than the Flip, and the £20 price hike over the earlier model is justified by the rechargeable battery alone. If you’re anything but a YouTube junky, though, you might f...

  • Slimmer profile, simple, video quality is pretty good
  • Screen a little small, resolution is lacking, not much change from last version
  • Whilst you can slip the Mino into your pocket to capture your movies on the fly, it just seems to be a little late to the party, thanks to that unfortunate delay launching on this side of the water...

  • Smaller than the Ultra. Touch sensitive buttons. USB connector moved to top
  • No HD capture. Screen still relatively small. No SD card slot
  • It still lacks hi-def shooting and a memory card slot, but the Mino is a big improvement on the Ultra ...
