Better HD video/photos than original Hero, Easiertouse controls than original Hero, Waterproof to 197 feet (60 meters), Wide array of mounts available, Wideangle lens (90 to 170 degrees),
Hi Quality 1080p video, Works well under low light, Sharp video, Includes waterproof housing, Fun to use
Occasional freezes, Gets warm when powered on
The HD HERO2 Outdoor Edition is a tremendous package for the price. Whether you are the artistic/creative type or the athletic daredevil, this is a camera that you can have lots of fun with. Designed for all weather conditions you’ll be able to shoot ...
Small and flexible, Lots of options for video and still resolution, Clear and bright pictures, Good low light sensitivity (given the size of the sensor), Lots of accessories from both GoPro and third party vendors, Good user forum support,
No tripod mount on camera or casing, More expensive than other offerings, Curve lense not good for underwater and no GoPro option available to change to a flat lens,

Inexpensive. Rugged construction. Good quality video. Compact. Waterproof to 197 feet.
Limited battery life. Archaic control system. Fixed focal length lens. No GPS

If you're interested in camcorders, or even gadgets in general, it's impossible to ignore the GoPro HD Hero2. The Hero2 is the best adventure-style camcorder we've worked with so far, and the model was easier to handle and control than its most dire...

1080p video at 170deg field of view, Display greatly improved over HD Hero, 11MP still photos, 120fps slow motion video at WVGA
Still images are noisy in low light, No builtin display or viewfinder, External mic jack not accessible in case, Short battery life.
The GoPro HD Hero2 boasts improved optics, a few new video- and still-photo-shooting modes, and backward compatibility with current HD Hero accessories. Most importantly, its interface has been overhauled and is now much easier to view and understand
As improved as it is, the Hero2's interface can still be a bit confusing for the first-time user
The GoPro HD Hero2 is easily the best GoPro camera yet, with the ruggedness and quality that we've come to expect and a new user-friendly interface.
