  • Abstract:  Once again, Canon releases a Rebel X** / **0D model (the Canon EOS Rebel XSi / 450D in this case) that has feature improvements, including a higher resolution sensor, over the current higher end *0D model. We saw this when the Canon EOS Digital Rebel X...

  • Switch to SDHC memory. Relatively low noise at high ISO settings. New battery with 50% more endurance.
  • ISO tops out at 1600. Plastic body seems too plasticy. ISO in only full stop increments. Lacks the useful HELP mode of its major competitors. A tad bit pricey.Camera Resolution: 12.2 megapixels, CMOS Sensor

  • Abstract:  Canon have gained a lot of experience in the lower segment of the D-SLR market over the past five years. We have witnessed significant improvements between previous and next models. And now were here with the Canon EOS 450D. A digital SLR camera that ...

  • Very fast 12MP D-SLR, Fine picture quality, Supplied IS lens
  • Don’t bother with Live View, Flimsy door covering connections, *
  • We hate to sound like a skipping Internet audio stream, but it’s very easy to recommend the Canon Rebel XSi. It’s a fast-focusing, speedy D-SLR that delivers excellent photos both indoors and outside. At 12.2-megapixels, the camera also h...

  • Sample Images Since the Canon XSi is targeted at the entry-level DSLR market, all sample images were shot with the XSi kit lens, the EF-S (crop-sensor only) 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 IS. This will likely be the way most buyers purchase the XSi and it seemed fai...

  • Abstract:  (Note: The Canon EOS Digital Rebel XSi and EOS 450D are the same model) The last Canon Rebel we reviewed was the XTi back in 2006. Now we have a brand new Rebel XSi and its a beauty. The list of improvements over earlier models is impressive and inclu...

  • Lownoise sensor raises the bar for entrylevel DSLRs, Loads of JPEG processing control in camera, AF system still among the best, Lots of customizability,
  • Camera doesn't feel as nice as it is, Revised kit lens still not so hot, Live view may or may not be useful, Default processing not as vibrant as some competitors, Canon Rebel XSi
  • Expectations for the XSi were admittedly high, and hence the opportunities for Canon to come up short in the court of public opinion were numerous. In spite of this high bar, the XSi will unquestionably win converts to Canon with its (still) excellent...

  • Excellent photo quality for its class; better-than-average speed.
  • Maximum ISO 1600; huge spot-for-spot metering.
  • It doesnt stand out for its feature set or design, but the Canon EOS Rebel XSi delivers on performance and photo quality.
