Abstract: Taking pictures is a fantastic way of retaining memories through the years, and nowadays, technological advances have made it possible to take decent photos with your smartphone. However, if you take the trouble to use a digital camera, you'll often find t...
Good image quality, Smart Auto mode is intuitive, Compact design makes it easy to carry anywhere, Macro mode was extremely fun to use, Wide range of creative incamera functions
Lack of responsiveness in touchscreen, Video quality was mediocre, High ISO results in image grain and loss of detail
In a world where uploading images to the world wide web can be done with a tap of a finger, point and shoot cameras would be as extinct as the dinosaurs if not for the emergence of wifi capabilities. The Canon Elph 320 HS has emerged from the ashes of fo...
Compact, attractive design. Sharp lens. Integrated WiFi. Good high ISO performance.
Touch screen is difficult to use. No physical controls. Short zoom range. 1080p video limited to 24fps
The Canon PowerShot Elph 320 HS is a small shooter with a large touch-screen LCD and Wi-Fi. Its lens is sharp, but only covers a 5x zoom range, and the practicality of the touch screen is questionable....

The Canon IXUS 240 HS is an unassuming yet technologically advanced compact camera that hides a lot of features under its typically IXUS-like rectangular exterior. The touchscreen interface isn't the best that we've ever used, but the new wi-fi connec...
Excellent image quality. Resistive touchscreen as good as they get
Low HD video frame rate. Interface has a few quirks. More zoom would be nice
We wouldn't complain if the 240HS (or its successor) had a longer zoom lens or was able to capture HD video at a higher frame rate, but the Canon IXUS 240HS proves that quality can easily overcome quantity....
Styling, Effects, Fast shutter response, Great in low light
Confusing menu system, Unresponsive touchscreen, Poorly implemented WiFi
The images that this little compact camera turns out can be very good indeed, but it does struggle at times with its dynamic range, which is something that can't be cured by shooting raw, since the Canon IXUS 240 HS will only record JPEG files. The dynami...
Good and even sharpness levels in wideangle shots, Full HD video, Large touchscreen, clear interface, Good build quality, WiFi function is practical once configured
Images aren't as sharp at telephoto, General responsiveness could be better, Screen: touchcontrols aren't all that accurate, onscreen image lacks fidelity, Audio quality (muffled sounds), WiFi setup is nowhere near as simple as with the average smartphone
The Canon Ixus 240 HS is a nice surprise. It gives good picture quality in decent light and outdoes other Ixus cameras with its electronics and lens. It's a nice little camera to handle and it's pleasant enough to use. It does, however, have some rather a...

Styling, Effects, Fast shutter response, Great in low light
Confusing menu system, Unresponsive touchscreen, Poorly implemented Wi, Fi
The good points of the Canon IXUS 240 HS are the smart styling, the sweet lens, responsive shutter and the competent low-light performance. But unless you really must have Wi-Fi and a touchscreen, look at something else, since these gimmicks aren't worth...
