  • Sharp lens. Wi-Fi. Large image sensor. Compact. Raw support. 1080p60 video. 10fps continuous shooting.
  • Aperture narrows as you zoom. No hot shoe or EVF option. Pricey. Limited zoom range
  • The Canon PowerShot S120 delivers impressive image quality in a compact package with Raw shooting capability, but it's not quite an Editors' Choice....

  • The Canon PowerShot S120 is a rather modest update of last year's S110 camera, principally making things faster and adding a few new features and shooting modes into the now familiar mix. We like the faster auto-focus and burst shooting speeds, while the...

  • One of smallest cameras with RAW & manual control, Very fast sustained burst shooting, Flexible 5x range with 24mm f1.8 & built-in ND filter, Focus peaking greatly aids manual focusing, Built-in Wifi with social sharing from the camera, Touchscreen interface with tap focus pulling, Wealth of presets including HDR and Star modes.
  • No manual exposure control for movies, No manual focusing during movies, No smartphone remote control over Wifi, No hotshoe or viewfinder or mic accessories, No cable release or Bulb option.
  • Canon's PowerShot S series was once the only choice if you wanted a pocket-sized camera with full manual control and support for RAW files. But today the enthusiast compact market is one of the fastest growing and every company wants a piece of the ac...

  • Full manual control, Raw format shooting, Touchscreen, WiFi
  • Limited WiFi options, Limited digital filter control
  • Canon has a lot more competition in the premium compact department than it previously had, so it seems to be pulling out all the stops to make its latest updates appealing to consumers. We've been long time fans of the S range, and it seems like the impro...

  • Abstract:  The PowerShot range has lost its bulk now they come with a solid battery, so it will easily fit into a pocket, do not however fall into the trap of thinking this is not a powerful unit. It can take excellent pictures with little input from you....

  • Solid feel high quality construction despite the pocket proportions, touch screen control, customisable lens ring function will appeal to those who love getting hands on with camera operation
  • The asking price here would alternatively buy a cheap DSLR, lacks a handgrip, omits an eye level viewfinder
  • For us the slightly more expensive Sony RX100 (original or Mark II version) still has the edge for quality overall if you're looking for compact alternatives that will ape a DSLR's quality without sacrificing portability. However for Canon users there is ...

  • Build quality, Compact design, Simple but effective controls and handling, Multifunction settings ring around the lens, Autofocus is very fast in all conditions, Standalone battery charger supplied, WiFi and touchscreen
  • Battery life of 230 photos at best, Can't be controlled remotely over WiFi using a smartphone, No improvement in picture quality compared with the S110, No GPS, geotagging via smartphone only
  • By loading this pocket expert compact with its new Digic 6 image processor, Canon has made the PowerShot S120 twice as speedy as its predecessor. With its sleek design and incredibly compact build, the S120 is a great pocket snapper to have to hand at all...

  • Good handling, Excellent image quality, Fast and easy to use, Outstanding build quality
  • Somewhat overpriced currently, So-so battery life
  • If you can stomach the high price tag, or are happy to wait a while for the price to drop a bit, the S120 is one of the best small compacts money can buy....
