  • Abstract:  The Casio Exilim EX-Z850 is a full-featured and well-built ultra-compact digital camera. A rare thing among such small cameras, the Z850 features manual controls over shutter speeds up to 60 seconds and a choice of 2 apertures at all focal lengths. Ov...

  • Lots of camera in a compact size, Loads of shooting modes, "Rapid flash" lets you shoot three images with flash in a row, Great oversized LCD screen (especially for a compact digital camera), Great for shooting eBay auction photos
  • Hard to avoid getting fingerprints on the LCD screen, Too easy to bump the control dial
  • The Casio EX Z850 digital camera is heavily marketed as an eBay digital camera, as it features an "eBay Best Shot" shooting mode. There is much more to this 8.1-megapixel compact digital camera, though. It is slim and stylish, features an oversized LCD...

  • Abstract:  The Casio EX-Z750 won our last ultra-slim roundup of no fewer than 13 contestants with an almost perfect score. Last summer Casio replaced it with the Exilim Z850, which is part of their "Zoom" line of cameras. It looks almost identical, has 8.1 instea...

  • Logical menu interface with strong graphic design Live previews in menus Durable aluminum frame 34 scene modes Long battery life Price
  • Poorly positioned controls Inaccurate color reproduction Low sharpening levels led to loss of detail High noise levels at ISO 200 and 400 Limited sensitivity range (only up to ISO 400) Poor low light autofocus Lots of noise in long exposures Terribl...
  • The Casio Exilim EX-Z850 has a sturdy aluminum body that measures 0.93 inches thick. The size and portability may be a big plus for many consumers, but there are tradeoffs. Those include poor handling, under-sized and oddly placed controls, and ports t...

  • Very little shutter lag. Large 2.5-inch LCD. Wide scene selection.
  • Pictures could be crisper. Menus are not well organized. No on-screen guides.
  • The Casio Exilim EX-Z850 is a small, sleek, silver ultracompact that takes pretty good pictures, but I expected sharper image quality from an 8MP camera.

  • Abstract:  A couple of years ago, you couldnt find a 5-megapixel pocket size camera, let alone 8-megapixel. Today, all the camera companies have high pixel-density pocket cameras, so what are they doing to separate themselves? In addition to its super-fast Exili...
