  • Abstract:  If youve read my Budget Camera Search, youll know Ive been on the look out for a new Digital Camera that can also do Video. After researching on the net I decided on the Fujifilm Finepix S5700 (S700 in the States). Ive had it a day or so, so lets l...

  • Abstract:  At a time when manufacturers clamber to impress with the latest ‘must-have’ technology, the lines between necessity and simple competition seem somewhat blurred. Not to deviate from this, Fujifilm’s S5700 bridge camera boasts improve

  • Abstract:  It's a little over a year since I reviewed the Fuji FinePix S5600 , a handy little entry-level superzoom which I really liked. It wasn't without a couple of faults, but at under £200 for a 10x zoom 5-megapixel camera it was amazing value for money. Well i...

  • This is a responsive camera with none of the lag that has characterised these pseudo SLRs in the past. There is no freezing of the image in the viewfinder and the conventional shooting technique of half depressing the button to set focus and exposure a...
  • Image noise at ISO400 is ugly. Given the modest pixel density, for which Fuji deserve praise, it is hard to understand the noisy, granular output. At lower ISO settings the issue goes away but we regard ISO400 as a normal speed.
  • The Finepix S5700 is a lot of camera for the money. Neither the camera nor the instruction book treats the user like an idiot. There is a built-in assumption that the customers may be point-and-shooters but it costs no more to cater for those who want ...

  • 10x optical zoom, speedy operation
  • Poor colour reproduction, high chromatic aberration, slow burst mode The Final Word The FinePix S5700 is a decent but uninspiring advanced digital camera. While it will do most of what you want, it is let down by average image quality.

  • The S5700 is the latest in a long line of Fujifilm bridge cameras, its familiar design based around a right-hand grip containing four AA batteries (invest in rechargeables for the best performance), a top-mounted mode dial and left-side display. The 2.5...

  • Abstract:  Fujifilms S5600 impressed us enough to give it a Budget Buy award when we reviewed it in February 2006. Its successor is only subtly different. Once again, theres a 10x zoom lens, a top ISO speed of 1600 and manual control over exposure and focus....

  • Abstract:  The Fuji Finepix S5700 is a seven megapixel digital camera with a ten times zoom lens. The length of the lens makes the camera a good choice for subjects where you need plenty of zoom. These include sports and wildlife photography. The Finepix S5700 a...
