The Fujifilm X-E1 delivers excellent photo quality in an attractively designed body with a streamlined shooting layout
While not bad, performance lags in its class, and the video quality disappoints
It's not a general-purpose recommendable camera thanks to subpar video and slightly sluggish performance, but for photo-quality-first photographers who want the analog-ish shooting experience, the Fujifilm X-E1 rules in its price range.
With good looks and great performance to back up its aesthetics, the X-E1 is a joy to use. It still has a few quirks, and if you can live with those quirks you'll be rewarded with exceptional images in a light, portable package that won't break the bank o...
By Josh Fate The FujiFilm X-E1 is their newest X-mount ILC camera, featuring the same APS-C sized 16-Megapixel X-Trans CMOS image sensor that was initially released in their flagship X-Pro 1 camera. The X-E1 was not designed like most consumer digicam...

Limited selection of X-mount lenses, Needs bigger handgrip for extensive use, Mushy shutter button feel, Mediocre autofocus and shot-to-shot speeds, Wakes slowly from sleep mode, ISO, Film Simulation, and Dynamic Range bracketing disable RAW recording,...
The Fuji X-E1 may be the baby brother to Fuji's flagship X-Pro1, but in many ways is its equal. Most importantly, the two cameras share the same impressive 16.3-megapixel APS-C X-Trans CMOS sensor, which produces image quality superior to most APS-C-se...
Excellent image quality, Superb high ISO noise performance, Big, bright, high resolution EVF, Built-in flash, External mic/remote socket, 6fps continuous shooting.
EVF prone to extraneous light, No direct movie record button, Limited movie modes, AF perfomance still so-so, No gadgets like built-in Wifi or GPS.
The X-E1 is a great follow up model to Fujifilm's X-Pro 1 providing most of what the more expensive flagship model offers at a significantly lower price point. For purists, an optical viewfinder on a rangefinder style camera will be a must-have featur...
