  • Excellent LCD screen, Reliable and accurate auto white balance, Handles well
  • Locking buttons are fiddly, Slow processing times, Burst mode only so-so
  • There's no denying that the D7100 is an incredibly well-rounded DSLR with one of the most complete enthusiast DSLR feature-sets we've seen to date. The lack of an anti-aliasing filter gives images a pleasing crispness, while metering and White Balance sys...

  • Given the build quality and feature set of the Nikon D7100, I would be surprised if the much-rumoured D400 will ever materialise to replace the D300S. Instead, it looks as though the D7100 may do the job of fully replacing both the D7000 and D300S. The D7...

  • As the most expensive current Nikon camera that doesn't have a full-frame sensor (discounting the old D300s), professionals might be tempted to write off the D7100 as "the best of the rest." Bad idea. This camera is just as professionally-oriented as the ...

  • Flawless build quality, Very responsive, Picture quality up to 3200 ISO, Prostyle design and handling
  • Some restricted settings in video mode, Picture quality is too similar to the more basic D5200, No swivel screen, No builtin WiFi or GPS
  • The Nikon D7100 raises the bar on both style and performance, and will no doubt satisfy demanding enthusiasts and pro photographers. This new SLR is a success but Nikon shouldn't rest on its laurels, as there's still room for improvement in connectivity a...

  • High, pixel count, No low, pass filter, Weather, sealed, Dual SD card slots
  • No Wi, Fi built, in, Screen not touch, sensitive, Fixed screen, JPEG only HDR mode
  • So there are a few extra things we would have liked to have seen here. On balance, though, we think that the Nikon D7100 is a very nice camera that's enjoyable and rewarding to use....

  • Good picture quality, decent sharpness when on point, often great autofocus system for all conditions, 100 per cent viewfinder with focus feedback, 1.3x crop mode (also works for raw capture), long-lasting battery life, improved LCD screen brightness/qual
  • Banding present in shadow areas (as per D5200), occasionally inaccurate autofocus, focus wouldn't always confirm, no touchscreen or vari-angle mount for LCD, burst mode doesn't live up to its on-paper specification, effects modes should be more expansive
  • There's a lot to love about the D7100: comprehensive 51-point autofocus - despite the occasional non-focus glitch - is great to use through the large, 100 per cent optical viewfinder and we're big fans of the new 1.3x crop mode too. Image quality i...

  • Abstract:  Nikon has now officially unveiled the D7100 which will succeed (but not replace) the D7000 DSLR. The main improvements are in the areas of sensor resolution and the number of autofocus points. The film mode has also been improved, and the low-pass filte...

  • Abstract:  It's been rumoured for a long time and now it's finally here. We are, of course, talking about the Nikon D7100 - the company's latest APS-C DSLR camera that looks to give even the D300S a run for its money. Pocket-lint had a play with a pre-production mod...

  • Abstract:  The Nikon D7100 is the latest APS-C DSLR to feature a 24MP sensor, after the D3200 and D5200. This is an upgrade of the company's successful D7000 model. And this is the very first model from Nikon to remove an optical low-pass filter (OLPF) to get good r...
