  • The Olympus Mju 1050 SW is definitely a niche camera, but one that is very good at what it does. For shooting in extreme weather conditions, or simply surviving everyday bumps and scrapes, the Stylus 1050 SW delivers excellent photo quality with littl...

  • Waterproof, shockproof casing, Tap control actually works
  • Panorama mode only available with Olympus xD cards, Flash unit too bright and close to lens, Shot to shot time is slow
  • The 1050SW is a rugged adventure camera designed for swimmers and skiers, with 10.1 megapixels and tap control. However, not even the quirky functions can hide the fact that the 1050SW is just not as good as the 1030SW. ...

  • 3m waterproof and 1.5m shockproof, can survive in low temperatures, tap controls
  • Lots of chromatic aberration, extremely slow shot-to-shot and burst modes
  • Unfortunately the Tough 1050SW is a bit of a step backwards in the otherwise excellent tough series. Its extreme levels of haloing are problematic and the overall performance is downright slow. The tap control system is pretty innovative, however, and...
