No GPS. So-so video quality. Must charge battery in camera
The very rugged Olympus Tough TG-820 is fast and capable of producing sharp images, but lacks the GPS functionality that is found in competing models....
The Olympus TG-820 absolutely delivers on its promises, separates itself from the competition and is priced so reasonably for the genuine quality and flexibility it offers. It’s a point-and-shoot camera absolutely loaded up with features and function...
Bright and clear LCD screen. Decent image quality at low ISO levels. Incredibly rugged
High ISO images are messy. HD video not as impressive as still images
Need a tough camera built like a tank, while withstanding the weight of one rolling over it? The TG-820 from Olympus will go almost anywhere you can imagine, and survive the journey....

Abstract: Olympus has carved itself a solid niche producing durable compact cameras. Its latest 'life-proof' offering is the TG-820, launched alongside the cheaper but less feature-packed TG-620.At first glance, there's not much to differentiate the TG-820 from the...
Waterproof to 10m, shockproof to 2 m, crushproof to 100 kg, Secure compartment locking system and lens protection shutter, Excellent responsiveness: phototophoto turnaround and autofocus are particularly fast, Good design and handling, good screen, easy to use
Lens could be better, especially at telephoto settings, Video mode: underexposed images, lowquality sound
The Olympus TG-820 brings a very welcome update to the electronics in last year's TG-810. The new components do a much better job in low light and, above all, make the camera a whole lot more responsive. All Olympus needs to do now is update that agein...
