  • Relatively large Four Thirds sensor gives excellent image quality, Large-aperture lens is great for selective focus and low-light shooting, Aspect-ratio switch encourages compositional creativity, Manual control dials make for an engaging shooting experie
  • Zoom reach could be longer, Lack of screen articulation hinders shooting at unusual angles, Large body won't suit those looking for a pocket camera, Lens is very prone to flare when shooting into the sun

  • 16:9 field-sequential viewfinder isn't great, Lack of screen articulation hinders shooting at unusual angles, Large body won't suit those looking for a pocket camera, Lens is very prone to flare when shooting into the sun
  • Testing the Lumix LX100 II left me with somewhat mixed feelings. On the one hand, it reminded me of just how great the LX100 design is; the chunky body feels really good in your hand, and the analogue dials positively encourage you to take more creative c...

  • Great image quality, Fast and versatile lens, Touch-sensitive screen, High resolution viewfinder, Great handling
  • No tilting screen, Fairly modest upgrade from predecessor
  • Verdict While it's an improvement on the much-revered LX100, the Mark II version falls just short of full marks by not including a tilting screen. Pros Great image quality Fast and versatile lens Touch-sensitive screen High resolution viewfinder Great han...

  • Excellent image quality, Responsive autofocus, Innovative multi-aspect sensor, Good body-mounted controls
  • Sluggish zooming, Fixed rear screen, Somewhat fiddly digital interface
  • It's fair to say that the Panasonic Lumix LX100 II is more of a incremental update than a massive overhaul, hence why Panasonic probably felt it merited a 'Mark II' designation (a first for a Lumix camera) rather than a whole new model name (many people w...

  • If you already own the original LX100, there is probably not enough reason to upgrade. But if you don't and are looking for a superb prosumer compact camera, the Panasonic Lumix LX100 II is definitely the one to get...
