Like: The image quality can be good when due care is exercised. Like all compact cameras this one is unforgiving. ISO must be no more than 200. Exposure must be spot on – underexposure leads to noise, overexposure to loss of detail in highlights.
Dislike: The control buttons are too small for convenient use, even without gloves. The LCD is poor and pessimistic – images that look terrible reviewed on the LCD come up well on the PC
A well priced, rugged digital camera; versatile for use in a variety of outdoor situations, including cold and wet environments
Need to ensure lens is wiped clean after use under water; hard to view images on 2.7in LCD screen in bright daylight
This 14.1-megapixel digital camera is really fun to use, and it can take lots of knocks and scrapes. It offers plenty of functions and tools to make photography fun, with enough built-in help to make sure your snaps come out right. Add in the high-definit...

Pluses, Waterproof to 10 m, shockproof to 2 m, Simple interface and good iA mode, Separate video recording button, Good picture quality at low sensitivities, Design by Hummer
Minuses, Noise apparent from 400 ISO, Zoom and shutter release buttons easily confused, Proprietary USB port, Dark lens, lacks brightness, Design by Hummer
With specs to impress, the FT2 will prove a strong contender for the longer-established Olympus Tough range. Its durability will cope with the toughest of conditions, without sacrificing image quality....
Good color reproduction, Sharp and crisp images, IS performs well, Excellent build
Boxy look, Panning issues during video recording, Expensive
Apart from the conventional VGA video recording the FT2 is also capable of recording videos in HD but at a scaled down resolution of 720p. Having said that the overall clarity of the video is a little disappointing as it doesn’t appear as crisp as a no...
