  • Auto white balance is not brilliant, but white balance compensation is so easy to fix via a button on the body that we shouldnt complain. Getting the SD memory card out of the camera is nearly impossible. Most times when we managed to extract it the c...
  • This is another fine DSLR from Pentax. We liked the lens for its optical qualities and also for its smooth mechanical feel. The camera is robust and confidence-inspiring. Images are consistently well exposed, although default saturation is a little hig...

  • Abstract:  The K7 enters the Pentax range as a high-end model targeted at photo enthusiasts because its complexity makes it most suitable for experienced SLR photographers. Featuring a solid metal body, weatherproof sealing and a wide range of user-adjustable con...

  • Incredibly rugged/wellsealed and fast at 5.2fps, Quite versatile in movie mode (with preset overrides), An absolutely vast range of features
  • Larger, heavier, pricier than more "typical" DSLRs, The numerous functions, some unique, increase complexity, The fixed LCD's angle cannot be varied

  • Comprehensive feature set, Tough weather-resistant body, HD video recording, HDMI output
  • Pricey compared with alternative options, Rivals have higher light sensitivity options
  • Tank-like range topping digital SLR has much to recommend it to those not already converted to Canon or Nikon rivals

  • Relatively compact and lightweight with a steel frame chassis to protect against accidental knocks, very good value for money, user-friendly, weather sealed in 77 places
  • Expensive if you’re primarily buying for HD video

  • Abstract:  This camera is reviewed as part of our group test of Digital SLR HD Video Cameras Its model name may be a couple of numerals short of a Dr Who assistant, but the K-7 is certainly no pup. It delivers 14.6-megapixel images from an APS-C sized CMOS sensor...
