  • Small size, APS-C sensor, built-in EVF and flash, easy-to use menu system, snaps clear and vibrant images
  • AMOLED screen doesn't tilt or rotate, didn't always find the correct focus point in close-ups
  • The Samsung NX10 can do the job of a digital SLR, but it's smaller and a little more affordable. It's an interchangeable lens camera that doesn't skimp on features -- you get a built-in flash and an EVF -- and it can take very clear and vibrant photos. We...

  • Compact, versatile: Vibrant images; Interchangeable lenses; Excellent AMOLED display
  • Fidgety button layout; dial selector difficult to read; AF sluggish in low-contrast scenes

  • APS-C-sized sensor. Good image quality if you're prepared to tweak the defaults. Compact and lightweight with pancake lens
  • No video record button. Proprietary lenses and accessories are thin on the ground. No in-body image stabilisation
  • Samsung has positioned the NX system as an alternative to SLR and Micro Four Thirds cameras, or an "SLR-lite" if you will. The NX10 mostly succeeds, with a few operational quirks here and there preventing it from being top of the class....

  • Like: The image quality is very good. The lenses are, subjectively, amongst the very best kit optics with outstanding sharpness and contrast. Focus speed is not bad for the contrast detection method, but not as quick as a true DSLR.
  • Dislike: The major difference between the NX10 and a mirror/prism DSLR is responsiveness. There is the smallest lag that keeps you half a beat behind the action. It is not a deal breaker, but it cannot be ignored

  • Abstract:  Samsung expanded the interchangeable-lens compact (ILC) camera category with the announcement of its mirrorless NX10 system in early January. Styled like a traditional DSLR camera, but significantly slimmer (thanks to a shorter flange-back resulting fr...

  • APS-C large sized sensor, Good auto focus and manual focus, Good noise reduction, Great resolution from the JPEG engine, Good OIS, Auto exposure bracketing option available, Excellent Build quality, Longer video recording time than most
  • Larger than other mirror-less camera systems, Face detection not the greatest, White Balance unreliable, Control wheel sometimes skips and is a bit laggy, Clips to white fairly quickly, detail not recoverable in RAW, Uses a Samsung proprietary NX lens mou
  • A year ago I would have been hard pressed to find a camera in Samsung's lineup that I could recommend to a friend. However the NX10 may just be a portend of better things coming out of Samsung's camera division. While it is not as compact as some of t...
