Great video features to supplement its 4K capabilities distinguish the Sony Cyber-shot RX100 IV from the rest of the advanced-compact pack. It also retains the nice design perks, like a popup electronic viewfinder, of the earlier RX100 models
Like its predecessor, the autofocus system could be more consistent and the battery life has gotten even worse
A nice choice if your looking for an advanced compact with class-leading video capabilities, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 IV is a little expensive if you just want a good camera for shooting stills...

Small and stylish, even with a three-year-old design, Great image quality, Autofocus is improved, Great overall 4K image quality, New sensor tech enables neat tricks like super slow motion, 1/32000 shutter speed, and 16 fps burst mode,
Controls are cramped, and they've been that way since 2012, The viewfinder is hampered by awkward mechanics and tiny size, Image quality on super slow motion footage is extremely bad, There's no way to attach an external microphone, Whoa is it expens
It's hard to find a great reason to drop £840 (that is the RRP, of course, and it can be found cheaper, but still in the mid-£600 range) on the RX100 Mark IV. The biggest reason lies in the Panasonic LX100. That camera is cheaper (RRP £700, but hovering a...
Pocketable size, Excellent shooting speed, Versatile video, Great image quality at lower ISOs
Intimidating price
Sony RX100 IV – Image Quality The Sony RX100 IV has a 1in 20-megapixel sensor, which is the same size featured in all the other RX100 models. However, its design has changed. Where the original RX100 had an FSI sensor, and the following two models BSI sen...

The pocketable compact to beat, Excellent image quality, Built-in electronic viewfinder, Fast aperture lens, Customisable control ring
Hugely expensive, Autofocus performance could be yet faster, Still no touchscreen, Limited bump over third-gen predecessor
There's no escaping it - the Sony Cyber-shot RX100 IV is one pricey compact camera. Is that the price of perfection? Almost. The main thing to weigh-up in the mind is whether this latest model is worth the extra £250 over its predecessor. The extra EVF res...
Small, fits in trouser pockets, Good build, Excellent image quality, Good dynamic range, Extensive manual controls, WiFi connectivity, Excellent electronic viewfinder
Restricted range of lens, Autofocus mechanism does not work well, Weak battery stamina, No touch input, WiFi configuration is not the easiest
The Sony RX100 Mark IV is one of the best compact cameras made till date, providing full manual control and good dynamic range, thus making it a very versatile camera. However, the lack of touchscreen input and a mis-functioning autofocus mechanism means...
The Everywhere CompactSony RX100 IVReviewer: By Amir Rothman Pocket Friendly DesignThis small, magnesium-alloy camera fits into pockets easily and the smooth, grip-less metal means the camera means there's less for your fingers to hold on to but the RX100...
Just like there isn't a lot of difference in price when comparing the Mark III and Mark IV, the upgrades you get on the Mark IV feels more of a refinement of the previous model than a completely thought through upgrade. We do appreciate that Sony made the...
The Sony RX-100 MkIV camera is an amazing point-and-shoot camera that packs a lot of punch in its compact body. It's a bit on the pricey side, but for what you pay for, it's almost like having a professional-grade camera in your pocket.(previously publis...
Excellent image quality, 4K videos, Brilliantly fun HFR mode, Pocket-sized
Prohibitive price, Limited zoom range
So yes, the RX100 IV is expensive. Older versions of the same camera the RX100 III and the RX100 II are currently priced at about RM2,999 and RM2,649 respectively, so you'll be paying a premium for the new edition's tweaks and improvements. Some might thin...
Exciting video features, Faster shutter speed options, Allaround a great premium compact
The price just keeps going up and up, Battery life is lower than previous model
If you want a high-end compact camera today, it's hard to beat the RX100 IV. This is a camera that produces high-quality stills with a large 1-inch sensor, with leading-edge features like high-speed shooting and high frame-rate video. It gives most people...
