Abstract: Intel never intended for the ultra-low-voltage Atom processor to power anything but ultraportable PCs, but its widespread popularity in netbooks has now earned the chip yet another new home in desktop computers as well. Manufacturers like Asus, Averat...
Sleek—though derivative—design; uses less power than non-Atom-based all-in-one desktops; quiet
Woefully underpowered compared with all-in-ones that cost little more; weak speakers; tray-loading DVD drive; touch-centric software is oddly organized; Vista Basic OS lacks Media Center
The $599 MSI Wind Top AE1900-05SUS is an inexpensive touch-screen-enabled all-in-one desktop, but it’s now outclassed by other all-in-one offerings that cost as little as $100 more. ...
Abstract: MSI is the latest computer maker to leap into the fast-evolving, all-in-one PC category with the lightweight Wind Top, which has been designed to grace almost any space in the home. With its clean glass finish, the Wind Top makes a handsome addition...
Won’t take up much space, built-in DVD burner, reasonable performance for basic tasks
Touch screen doesn’t support gestures, touch screen not easy to use for scrolling and dragging actions, MSI Wind Touch interface can’t be customised, no front-facing ports
MSI’s Wind Top AE1900 is an all-in-one PC that won’t take up much space on a desk. It has a touch screen and a built-in DVD burner, and it can be used for basic tasks. ...
Loud, noticeable fan , No keyboard , Still a low-powered computing solution
MSI's Wind Top AE1900 tries harder than most to sell the nettop concept, but still falls flat in several specific areas, especially value for money....

This is a very smart machine for the money. The design is in keeping with MSI’s love of all things white and minimal, not unlike some old-school Apple kit. Set up is swift and the machine is speedy enough for basic tasks such as web browsing, email and word docs. Anything more than that though and the Intel Atom processor will struggle to keep up with the pace, reducing things to a snail’s pace.
The touchscreen tech is pretty good, but the proprietary Wind Touch UI leaves a lot to be desired. Frankly, touch tech on large machines like this is very much a personal thing and this gadget is really about keeping things basic. There aren’t many apps on board that take advantage of the touchscreen, so it feel as if the tech has been tacked on.
This is a great, affordable way for people to get an all-in-one desktop device. The Wind Top AE1900 comes with all the basics you’d expect from a PC and can handle standard tasks brilliantly. Chuck in some sharp lines and good looks, and this is someth...
This AE1900 is an attractively designed touchscreen PC, which is easy to use and looks good to boot. However, it’s not really powerful enough for heavy duty computing or gaming and the screen resolution is quite low. It’s also running XP Home...
Abstract: A stylish all-in-one, ideal for those people who havent got the necessary space for the traditional desktop PC, this machine would have been helped by bundling a wireless keyboard and mouse, although their inclusion would bump up an already pretty su...
