  • Abstract:  Here we are, folks. We have here the smallest 1TB hard drive on the planet currently in our hands. I can literally stick this in my back pocket. It’s not really called the Slim Edition, but we’re giving it that name until the excitement wears off and d...

  • Compact housing packs in 1.5TB of storage space, Needs just one cable for data and power, Includes simple and useful backup software, Bundled with a "free" movie and access to many others (for a fee), Compatible with FreeAgent GoFlex TV HD media player
  • Transfer rates don't show what USB 3.0 can really do, $200-$230 price tag
  • If your portable storage needs insist that you have plenty of disk space, without taking up too much physical space, the Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex 1.5TB external hard drive is worth considering. 1.5TB is definitely an ample amount of storage, and havin...

  • The Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Ultra-portable offers great flexibility, USB 3.0, and a large amount of storage. It also works with both Macs and PCs without having to be reformatted
  • The GoFlex Ultra's USB 3.0 performance could be better and the drive doesn't include a USB 3.0 add-in card for computers that don't yet have this connection
  • Even with the slightly low USB 3.0 performance, the GoFlex Ultra still makes an excellent portable external hard drive for people who need to expand their computer's storage.

  • First 1.5TB portable to market offers gargantuan capacity, Includes USB 3.0 connector
  • Connector modules can be unwieldy, Must remove module to insert into a dock
