  • Abstract:  There's a lot to like about the Thecus N2310 NAS. For $149, you're getting network-attached storage with an impressive feature set. Performance is also impressive; it has the second-fastest read I/O speeds among NASes I've tested in the consumer/SOHO clas...

  • We have had the Thecus N2310 set up and running for several months and, perhaps we owe Thecus a bit of an apology for being so late in this report.  This fact, in itself, provides a big compliment for Thecus as the N2310 was that easy to set up and forget...

  • Cheap, Possibility to setup network location, Easy to install HDDs
  • Not user friendly, Few apps, Slow loading/opening apps and files on the desktop, Fan fairly loud, I had some issues to install the software with the Intelligent NAS program and I also could not get DDNS working, Mobile apps not optimized for newer device
  • The Thecus N2310 is a really cheap NAS and if you only want to use it as a big hard drive on the LAN network this will probaably be enough, but if you want to have a fast NAS with a lot of options I would not recommend this. I my eyes you better pay a 100...

  • Easy setup, Reliable operation, Additional apps enhance value, iTunes server option works perfectly, It's a self-contained bit torrent machine
  • Interface might require more advanced users, Mobile app only stable on iOS during testing, Overall the Thecus N2310 NAS Server is an excellent performer, a great value, and offers a lot of functionality. This review barely touched on the many options and
  • At the most essential level of a networked storage drive, the N2310 performed flawlessly. It was easy to create a storage array and the NAS ran reliably during the three weeks I ran it at home. Between multiple PC's and a couple of MacBooks it was always...

  • Abstract:  The team at Thecus have created a network-attached storage unit that's both extremely simple to set up and looks the part of a non-assuming piece of technology. While some NAS units looks like massive hunks of metal, this mostly-plastic unit looks plain, ...

  • Abundance of hosting features, supports RAID JBOD, 0 and 1, low power consumption, remote management
  • Build quality, lacking local hardware processing status, no IP camera support
  • The Thecus N2310 may be an entry level NAS but it's packed with an abundance of features....

  • Abstract:  In the modern home, a Network Attached Storage (NAS) device is essential. Smart TVs, tablets and ultra-portables all work best when paired with a common storage solution – the days of simply plugging in an external drive to your desktop are long gone. Tod...

  • Abstract:  Although more and more data is being housed in the cloud for easy access, there's many good reasons why users should keep a copy of their data on-site. Luckily, there are many different local solutions to choose from: USB thumb drives, standalone hard dri...

  • Inexpensive, Fairly fast, Easy remote access via DDNS, Can install more apps as need be, Simple to setup
  • Android app doesn't work at all, Fan can be overly loud, Limited number of apps available, Fairly loud overall
  • Testing and Usage Continued I don't use Plex or Piczza, but I loaded them in the N2310 to show you and to really use them you'll need an account of which I don't have, but you can get an idea of what they look like from the screenshots. Here's Plex:  Her...
