There are still many who have yet to experience what it is like to have an SSD in their system. With the many benefits from such an easy and simple upgrade and thanks to high competition, SSDs are now a viable option for almost any budget build. Sure, the...
Low, albeit not the lowest, cost for high capacity SSDs, Supports TRIM, NCQ, and RAID, New Toshiba controller and NAND provide exceptional performance in most applications
Performance still not as good as MLC drives, especially in iOPS, No included utility or migration software, Only a 3year warranty
IMPORTANT: Although the rating and final score mentioned in this conclusion are made to be as objective as possible, please be advised that every author perceives these factors differently at various points in time. While we each do our best to ensure tha...
Though I'd still recommend an MLC SSD for the best overall experience with large data sets, the Trion 150 will actually perform faster than many SSDs in normal, everyday use. If you find it at an unbeatable price, go for it...
Abstract: The Trion 150 has been generating a fair amount of buzz since its release back in January as being a nice budget solid-state drive ideal for first-time SSD buyers. The Trion 150 is a true budget SSD with the 480GB SATA 3.0 drive retailing for just $140 US...
The OCZ Trion 150 is without question a massive improvement over the previous Trion 100 model in every respect. The Trion 150 is cheaper, albeit marginally, and it's faster in most tests by a reasonable margin. This is all great news for potential buyers...

The Trion 150 brings a modest performance boost and a marginal price cut over the sixmonthold Trion 100 series.
Much slower than the Samsung SSD 850 Evo, retreads the same ground as existing drives, questionable reliability.
Good overall performance for a budget SSD, Swanky-looking outer shell, Advance-swap replacement warranty
No accessory bundle whatsoever, Slightly expensive for an entry-level drive
OCZ's second-gen TLC-based budget drive is decent overall, but its lack of cloning software or in-box accessories could baffle some first-time SSD buyers. Read More…...

Good Performance, Affordable Pricing, Excellent Warranty
Middling Performance In Some Tests, No Track Record For 15nm NAND
OCZ Trion 150 Series Solid State Drives -- Find Them At AmazonThe OCZ Trion 150 series is an update to last year's Trion 100. The drives use a similar Toshiba controller, but OCZ moved to newer 15nm NAND in the Trion 150, and the drives' firmware has been...
The OCZ Trion 150 480GB drive was found to be a better drive than the original Trion 100 480 GB drive that we reviewed last year. OCZ has improved the real world performance of the drive while also reducing the cost of the drive. The performance of the OC...
Industry leading warranty program, One of the most inexpensive SSD lines on the market, Great sequential transfer speeds
Overall sub-par performance, Outperformed by the Trion 100 in many of our tests
Though the Trion 150 offers supremely adequate though underwhelming performance compared to higher end consumer drives, its inexpensive price tag and fantastic warranty program makes OCZ's newest economical drive an attractive upgrade option...
