Abstract: As I entered the Macworld Expo last week I was awestruck. In front of me was a tremendous display blaring Thinnovation. The crowd gathered with jaws dropped. It was the new Macbook Air, Apple’s new ultra thin, ultra light weight computer. I have to sa...
Abstract: The latest version of FileMaker’s venerable database adds Leopard compatibility. But the interface is the same as it has been for years and while FileMaker is one of the simplest databases on any platform, that’s only simple compared to other database...
Thinnest laptop on the market. Simply gorgeous. Amazing 13-inch display on a 3-pound chassis. Full-size keyboard. Doesnt load ultra-low-voltage processors. Eco-friendly. Gesture-enabled touchpad. Reasonable prices.

The MacBook Air is a superbly crafted notebook, but this niche product isnt for everyone. Its lack of optical drive, FireWire and Ethernet ports deem it inadequate for power or everyday users. Regardless, it functions well as a secondary device for fr...
Incredibly thin yet surprisingly sturdy, New touchpad gesture controls are very useful, Remote optical drive makes living without a builtin drive much easier
Very limited connectivity, Slower than other MacBooks, SSD harddrive option is ridiculously expensive and standard hard drive is small, Battery is not replaceable
The design is revolutionary, but Apples MacBook Air will appeal to a smaller, more specialized audience than the standard MacBook, thanks to a stripped-down set of connections and features.
