Decent specs; High resolution screen for a PC laptop;
Touchpad mouse feels strange and carries a touch too much resistance; Combination of metal and rubber is a little odd; Screen needs better viewing angles and less gloss;
Dell's 15 inch XPS for this year isn't a bad computer by any stretch of the imagination, but it's not the best it could have been either, especially with a look that's obviously trying hard to stare down the competition.Customers looking for a decent Wind...

The new Dell XPS 15 has an appealing minimalist design, solid construction, and powerful components
There are only a handful of preconfigured builds available, and the more powerful options get very expensive. It's also too heavy for regular commuting
You can get similar components to our Core i7 Dell XPS 15 configuration for less, but the rock-solid design makes this feel like a premium machine....

Fast performer thanks to Ivy Bridge CPU, Decent gaming prowess via the GT 640M, Impressive battery life, Premium chassis design elements
Does look pretty Appleish, No SSD cache on topend model
Among premium desktop replacement laptops, the Dell XPS 15 is an above average contender, with top hardware and solid performance. Unfortunately – especially with such a strong physical resemblance to the MacBook Pro – it can't match Apple's Retina disp...
