  • Runs on the Intel Atom platform. Gorgeous, big (10-inch) glass screen. Best-looking design. Lighter than its rivals. WWAN, bigger battery, and excellent Ubuntu distro options later this year. Superior keyboard.
  • Mouse buttons are awkwardly placed. Slow-spinning hard drives. VGA-out requires a dongle.
  • The Mini 1000 is a solid second act for HP that could teach other netbooks a thing or two about design. It could stand to learn a few things from its peers, as well....
