  • Most of our comparisons rely heavily on the performance-per-dollar measurement to determine a winner, but the Eon11-S very deliberately prioritizes portability ahead of performance. With an 11.6" display that offers a maximum 1366x768 resolution, it fills...

  • The Origin EON11-S is a very small, yet powerful laptop. In its current spec, it is primarily designed for performance above battery life. We could have opted for the i5 version; however, since we were looking for a desktop replacement class laptop, we sa...

  • Lotta power, little package; upgrade friendly.
  • Small keyboard; gets hot; compact size offset by huge power brick.

  • So is the EON 11-S a keeper for ultra-mobile media creators? Yes, with a few accommodations. This particular custom build definitely has the performance and connectivity to match, but favors it over the mobile experience. The 11-S packs a serious punch...

  • Abstract:  The 11.6-inch Maingear Pulse 11 and Origin EON11-S represent a decidedly different class of gaming notebook. Their focus on portability stands at odds with the category's traditional modus operandi, which typically involves stuffing heavy, power-hungry co...

  • Abstract:  As I'm sure everyone who is familiar with my previous work on Destructoid is already well aware, I have a thing for portable electronics and laptops in particular. Last week, I was able to put Origin's new 11-inch "netbook" through its paces.I played...

  • The Origin Eon 11-S is highly configurable, reasonably portable, and great for gaming if you can't fit a huge desktop replacement laptop
  • The generic body doesn't feel very high-end, don't expect to come in anywhere close to the $999 starting price for a serious gaming laptop
  • As one of the only 11-inch gaming laptops around, the Origin Eon 11-S is aimed at a select niche, but if you need a supersmall gaming laptop, it fits the bill nicely.

  • I'm going to preface this conclusion with a disclaimer: I prefer small notebooks as opposed to giant desktop replacements. With that said small systems still have to measure up to the same standards put forth by the review. Small systems are usually a...
