  • Abstract:  Want a giant iPhone that can't make calls? Happy to buy the first version of something before the manufacturer gets it quite right? You're going to love the iPad. Looking for a funky alternative to a low-cost laptop for a bit of e-mail, web surfing an...

  • the iPod touch, but there’s no denying it can feel crippled when you’re outside of a WiFi hotspot, and the same is true of the WiFi iPad.But with a micro SIM slotted inside the iPad 3G, you’re no longer dependent on the flaky hotspot of whatever coffee shop you’re in to peruse your emails. Instead, you can open whatever app you want at anytime, without any limitations. Set up couldn’t be easier
  • OS limitations still a grind
  • If you're buying an iPad, you won't regret the option for 3G...

  • 3G makes the iPad truly portable, Wide range of rolling contracts available, Fast downloads
  • Screen is hard to see if you're thinking of browsing outside, 64GB version is very expensive
  • It's nowhere near as flexible as the iPhone, but on-the-move capability makes the 3G iPad worth serious consideration if you've got the cash.

  • Great user interface, Fantastic app experience, Great screen, HD video looks brilliant
  • Not convinced about the keyboard, It's pricey!, Tariffs not cheap either
  • After many delays, the Apple iPad is now available in the UK in both 3G and W-Fi-only flavours. The model we're testing today is actually called the iPad Wi-Fi + 3G in full parlance, but iPad 3G will do for us. If you're hoping to get your hands on one...

  • Abstract:  The Apple iPad finally goes on sale in the UK on Friday, and we can all agree that it's a sensational piece of gadgetry. But when it comes down to doling out £400+ on a tablet there's gotta be a pretty good reason why and, sadly in this day and age,...

  • After having worked, or rather, having played with the iPad for a short time, the question remains about what kind of effect the iPad will have in the long run. After discussions with some of the first iPad users, among others, it seems that the iPad...

  • Just as enchanting as the day it first arrived
  • Those initial niggles don't wear off
  • What the iPad does, it does well, but there's an overwhelming sense that Apple's tablet has yet to reach its true potential...

  • A netbook, ebook reader, gaming device, photo frame and iPod rolled into an elegant supergadget, Bluetooth, 802.11n WiFi, movie rentals, 10 hours of battery life, optional mobile broadband and the most celebrated App Store on the planet
  • The iPad's large size is as much a hindrance as it is an advantage
  • Apple's iPad, now available for preorder in the UK, is the first tablet computer worth owning, but it won't (yet) replace your notebook.…
