  • Beautiful, thin and light design, Stellar battery life, Bright, clear display, Sturdy construction
  • Too wide for some, Pricier than many 7-inch alternatives
  • The iPad mini isn't just an Apple tablet made to a budget. This isn't just a shrunken-down iPad. This is, in many ways, Apple's best tablet yet...

  • The iPad Mini 2 has a sharp Retina screen, an ultraportable design, great battery life and it's the most affordable tablet with access to the iOS App Store. Upgradeable to iOS 10 later this year
  • Android and Amazon tablets -- and even Windows laptops -- are available for less. Base model includes only 16GB of non-expandable storage. It's missing the Touch ID fingerprint sensor and split-screen feature found on newer iPads
  • If you want the full, polished Apple tablet experience in a smaller package, the iPad Mini is worth the premium price. Otherwise, good alternatives are available for less money.

  • Abstract:  The first reviews of the iPad Mini are out and they're just like we expected. Smaller is nice! It's so light! But having such a hefty price tag without a Retina Display is sorta disappointing. Is the iPad Mini worth the cost?CNET:The iPad Mini is a shocki...

  • Abstract:  Apple doesn't normally like following suit and playing catch-up to its competitors, as seen by the launch of the original Ipod, Iphone and Ipad. However, in this instance the firm has had to concede defeat and launch its Ipad Mini after the 7in Nexus 7 an...

  • Abstract:  Spoiler alert: I plan on picking up an iPad mini the moment that the pre-order window opens (which is likely at 3 AM EST, this Friday). I've been pretty excited about the new device ever since I laid eyes on it (a whopping 24 hours ago). Yet there are tec...

  • Light and portable, Fantastic app selection, Intuitive UI suitable for first tablets
  • Little too expensive, No Retina display
  • There are hardware compromises, the smaller screen has a lower resolution than rivals, but in use it doesn't feel like a compromise and the wide selection of apps makes it more enticing than Google's tablet. The iPad Mini is likely to appeal to a generatio...

  • All things considered, the iPad Mini is our favourite iOS device. It's size and weight means that you get the benefits of a screen much larger than an iPhone, and a device which is much more comfortable to use than a full-sized iPad. It gives you full acc...
