  • Solid hardware build quality, Excellent high-resolution screen, Speakers on both the left and right sides, Nice finger-friendly user interface, Comes with an office suite, Touch-sensitive bezel supports gestures, Top-notch HTML renderer, Flexible multitas
  • No expandable storage, Flash experience is underwhelming, Doesn't come with much functionality out of the box, Bridged file access didn't work for me, Crashes and other issues under high memory load
  • Although RIM has delivered excellent hardware and a well-designed user interface, the software experience still falls short of expectations. The tablet offers little functionality out of the box and suffers from an abysmally poor third-party applicati...

  • Great design and formfactor, U.I. is polished and easyto use, fast performance, excellent display that is complimented by a set of powerful builtin speakers, Android app compatibility is coming,
  • No dedicated email or calendar apps yet, hampered by lack of apps at the moment but that will surely change quickly, power/wake button is a bit too recessed, pricing could be more competitive.
  • We tested the WiFi only version of the BlackBerry Playbook with a 16GB capacity, although 32GB and 64GB versions are also available, and 3G and 4G models are also on their way. Overall, we've really taken a liking to the BlackBerry Playbook. The devic...

  • Abstract:  For the better portion of the last month, we’ve been toiling away getting comfy with some of the newest tablets to hit the market of late, and now that we’ve gotten a feel for all of them, it’s best to sit down to compare and contrast them all in one m...

  • Abstract:  No tablet since the release of the iPad has garned as much media attention as RIM's PlayBook. While the Motorola XOOM certainly had its fair share of limelight, the PlayBook has been herald not only for it's powerful hardware, but all new QNX-based operat...

  • Great design and sharp screen, Unique OS, Fun, intuitive gestures, Android, Java app support coming, Great keyboard, Best in class browser
  • Launch apps plentiful, but lacking quality, Screen size may be too small for some, BlackBerry Bridge has limitations, No native email, calendar apps
  • The PlayBook is not an “iPad killer, but if you're a BlackBerry phone user or are dying for a tablet, the BlackBerry PlayBook might be worth a look. ...

  • Wellbuilt body; gripfriendly back, Attractive IPS display, Wonderfully portable, BB Tablet OS is capable, clever at its heart, Fast; great at multitasking, Better than usual cameras for a tablet; 1080p, Solid battery life,
  • Painfully unfinished software; no native email, calendars, more, No BBM at all on launch, BlackBerry Bridge doesn't work as well as we'd need, Underdeveloped camera and image handling apps, Poor app selection triggered by poor developer tools, Screen too small for some (not all) tasks, No direct Mac syncing until summer.
  • We wanted to like the BlackBerry PlayBook, and in some ways, we still do. The hardware is designed with a love and attention that's still rare in tablets from beyond Cupertino. It's genuinely unique. And while we think HP would like to have a word with...

  • Solid construction, Premium compact feel, Brilliant looking display, Responsive platform experience,
  • Lack of organizer apps and email client, No video chat support, Requires BlackBerry smartphone for some additional functionality, A bit pricey for its set of features
  • RIM is really introducing two products with the PlayBook. A new operating system, and new hardware in a different sector. There’s a lot of new-ness here. It definitely feels like they’re doing the right things. The hardware has great specs and the ope...

  • Abstract:  Set up was easy. The Playbook recognized the TV and automatically began mirroring its display in 1080p. I reduced the resolution to 720p for better results and navigated to the browser. I clicked on the Amazon Instant Video tab I had created, selected ...

  • Abstract:  After months of rumors, the BlackBerry PlayBook is finally available for purchase. Specs-wise, it's quite the impressive tablet - 1 GHz dual-core Cortex CPU, 7-inch display, 5-megapixel camera, 3-megapixel front-facing camera, and 1 GB of RAM. Presently a...
