  • Attractive, well-built hardware, Great display, Fast performance, improved battery life, More comfortable to use in the lap
  • Still heavy as a standalone tablet, Typing experience hasn't improved much
  • The new Surface Pro is more viable as a laptop replacement, but it hasn't made much progress as a standalone tablet. Ultimately, it's at its best in laptop mode, but it's still not always as comfortable to use as a proper Ultrabook....

  • Abstract:  Let's face facts: Most people weren't impressed by the original Microsoft Surface and Windows RT. The first Surface lacked the performance and the operating system that most PC users demand.Microsoft was quick to respond in early 2013 with the Surface Pro...

  • Excellent design and build, Superb display, Active pen proves very useful, Performance matches best in class
  • Pricey, Needs a keyboard cover to be complete, Desktop experience a bit awkward
  • The Surface Pro 2 is a first-rate device. Its combination of mobility, power, and design matches and even slightly outperforms topnotch Ultrabooks with similar size and specs. Unfortunately, like those Ultrabooks, the Microsoft Surface Pro 2 is also expe...

  • Attractive magnesium alloy design, Vivid and responsive 1080p touch screen, Improved active stylus, Loud and clear audio, Faster than similarly configured Ultrabooks, Long battery life
  • Keyboard not included, Cramped touchpad, Relatively heavy for a tablet, Limited tablet app selection, Poor camera quality
  • Thanks to its much-improved battery life and fast performance, the Microsoft Surface Pro 2 is a compelling tablet and laptop in one device....

  • Battery Life, Sheer Performance, Versatility, True digitizer pen, Display, Noise emissions, Build quality, Integrated kickstand, Magnetic power connector, Power adapter with integrated USB charging functionality
  • Weight, Camera resolution, Heat emissions (under full load), Price, Expensive accessories, Somewhat reduced display sharpness when scaled up
  • Microsoft Surface Pro 2 Microsoft Surface Pro 2 Microsoft Surface Pro Microsofts's tablet-shaped ultrabook remains an attractive alternative to the established device categories , finding its place somewhere in between. Its still-unique combination of ...

  • Abstract:  Apple started a revolution when it launched the original iPad back in 2010, one that redefined the way consumers viewed the tablet segment entirely. Before its arrival, the only wide spread tablets in existence were those hulky laptop convertible ones ...

  • Welcome improvements such as the kickstand design, more responsive keyboard and better battery life, Windows 8.1 is nice to use on the Surface Pro 2
  • Still a little thick and heavy for a tablet, a little more expensive than we'd like

  • Abstract:  The tablet market doesn't look very different than it did a year ago from the perspective of who's doing well and who's not. Perhaps the most exciting developments came towards the end of 2012 and beginning of 2013 from the usual big guys: Google released...

  • Wildly portable yet has the power of an Ultrabook. Sharp display, Wacom digital pen for notes and art, much improved battery life and keyboard covers
  • Screen may be too small for some, especially because some third party programs don't handle scaling well
  • We really liked the original Surface Pro and admired its combination of computing power, portability and convertible versatility. But battery life and the less than perfect (albeit innovative) keyboard covers stopped me from buying one. With MS Surfac...

  • The Surface Pro 2 crams a serious amount of power into a compact frame - enough to worry the latest Ultrabooks. Its design may be spot on for some but we can't help feel that instead of being the best of both laptop and tablet worlds, it's neither. The pr...
