  • Abstract:  At first blush, Sony's new PlayStation TV doesn't make much sense. It's a standalone console, but it has been built on the back of an existing platform. It uses a controller, but not the most recent one. It connects to your TV, but it doesn't have any int...

  • Abstract:  Wouldn't it be wonderful to have a tiny set-top box that plays all your Sony PlayStation games? That's probably what you'd think if you saw the new PlayStation TV on the shelf. For just $99, this incredibly tiny box promises the world. Shame it doesn't de...

  • Inexpensive for imported electronics. Amazingly small. Can play some card-based North American games like Persona 4 Golden.
  • Nonexistent support outside of Japan. Can only access Japanese PS Store. Won't let you access your North American PS Store purchases or PS Plus membership
  • The Sony PS Vita TV is a remarkably tiny little device that can play PlayStation Vita, PSP, and PSOne games. Too bad you have to import it and most of the features don't work here in the U.S.....

  • Stream PS4 games
  • Limited support for older games, $149
  • If you own a PlayStation 4 and are heavily invested in the PlayStation ecosystem, then Sony's PlayStation TV may be a good fit for your home, especially if it stops fights over the lounge room. Unfortunately, the PlayStation TV becomes less attractive if ...

  • There are a lot of people who are going to compare the PlayStation TV with Apple TV and the Google Chromecast but that would be like comparing a cat to a dog.The PlayStation TV doesn't do everything these other devices do and these other devices can't mat...
