  • Abstract:  You would be forgiven for checking what year it is after playing Metal Slug 7, a 2D scrolling shooter that could have been released at any time within the past decade. That isn’t a good sign normally, but this series wears its throwback status like a ...

  • Abstract:  What year is it again? Youd be hard-pressed to tell without the aid of a calendar after playing Metal Slug 7, a 2D scrolling shooter that could have been released at just about any time in the past decade. That usually isnt a good sign, but this SNK ...

  • Abstract:  I'd say I only recently became a fan of the Metal Slug series, since I had absolutely no exposure to Neo Geo titles outside of Samurai Showdown, King of the Fighters, and whatever other titles would pop up in those 4 in 1 arcade machines that littered ...

  • Typical Metal Slug gameplay, Combat School missions offers a nice change of pace, there’s a POW list and you can pick up in the mission you left off at in Main Mission mode.
  • Difficulty rating is deceiving, the bottom touch screen map isn’t helpful and you have to jump up to shoot below you.

  • Abstract:  After playing the Japanese version of Metal Slug 7 a few months ago, I guessed that SNK would release a home-console version, given the series' arcade/console history -- and therefore-ridiculous choice of making it DS-exclusive. I just didn't expect it...
