  • Abstract:  The big risk with Swedish developer Digital Illusions wildly brave Mirrors Edge (Xbox 360, PS3) is that itll be misunderstood. Its a platformer that flaunts its gleaming rooftop playgrounds entirely in first-person. Its a first-person shooter, bu...

  • Abstract:  One of the most exciting attributes of interactive games is they can let you feel what it is like to be in exotic shoes. The first-person perspective is most effective at conveying this illusion, and Mirrors Edge uses it powerfully to create a unique...

  • Flawless runs provide a total rush, Clean and striking visual design, Fantastic sound effects and music
  • Frustrating amount of trial and error, Cramped jumping puzzles trip up the momentum, Combat and gunplay are weak
  • Mirrors Edge offers occasional thrills, provided you can get past some awkward stumbles. ...

  • The inclusion of Parkour is really well done and feels natural to use. Time trial mode adds longevity and allows you to explore the best aspects of the game. Audio is well done.
  • Single-player mode feels short. The animated cut scenes are disappointing.

  • Abstract:  You can draw comparisons to the stealthy action games that came before it: shades of Assassin’s Creed maybe… but it’s like comparing Bluff oysters to “seafood,” or Cristal to other sparkling wines. Yeah, you can make the comparison, but it’s somehow, I...

  • Stunning visuals and sound immerse you in the game world, Combat and free running are smoother and make Faith feel more powerful, Social Play adds an interesting element to gameplay
  • Occasional lag in cut scenes, 'No escape' scenarios can be annoying, The story doesn't offer much to sink your teeth into
  • From the brief time we've spent running in Faith's shoes, we're very happy from what we've seen so far. If the writing is solid with an engaging (and hopefully unpredictable) story, then we can see ourselves spending many, many hours hours leaping our wa...

  • Abstract:  When I first saw Mirror’s Edge I wasn’t keen because I’d not heard anything about it and thought nothing of it. Then the demo became available on the PSN, so I downloaded it and was hooked! I had to have this game! This is probably one of the most under...

  • Abstract:  Welcome, to a future where all information is monitored, rigorously. So rigorously that the only way to transfer said information securely is to use free runners as glorified postmen to deliver it. Running across city skylines, the “runners” (as they a...
