  • Good use of the Wii U Gamepad, Genuinely terrifying
  • Gets repetitive, Online multiplayer and coop modes would be great
  • ZombiU will have you jumping out of your skin on various occasions and it must be said that this is the best use of silence since Resident Evil graced our consoles 1...

  • Great atmosphere. A lack of cutscenes. Good use of the Wii U’s GamePad controller. One life Survivor mode.
  • Finicky melee combat. Repetitive mission locations and enemies. Context prompts to crouch and jump rather than dedicated buttons.

  • Abstract:  When the Wii U was first unveiled, Ubisoft were quick to throw their hat in the ring, and before long a video for Killer Freaks From Outer Space was revealed. While it didn’t seem to be much more than a generic FPS game, what they showed off as far as ...

  • Hitting zombies with a cricket bat is fun but too much emphasis on this rather than clever gameplay means ZombieU fails to score well. While post-apocalyptic London looks great, laborious tasks and dying far too easily will likely leave you frustrated and...

  • Abstract:  Do you love zombie games? Then the chances are you’ve already heard of ZombiU, a new survival horror game from Ubisoft. Now when it comes to these types of games they’re usually not as great as you’d like then to be. Whether they’re full of glitches or...

  • Tense & scary atmosphere, Very challenging, Inventive use of Wii U hardware
  • Difficulty level can become frustrating, Dull & gloomy graphics
  • Think you're tough? ZombiU is tougher - the ease with which you'll die and the difficulty of killing zombies can make it a frustrating game. It's not a great demonstration of the Wii U's graphics power, and the cryptic story sometimes feels like it masks...

  • Tense, brooding atmosphere, Brilliant use of the Wii U Pad, A serious challenge
  • Unforgiving difficulty level, Backtracking and repetition, Average graphics
  • On balance, neither the average graphics nor the difficulty level should put you off if you like the sound of ZombiU. In a world of me-too shooters and action games it's a genuinely different and memorable experience, with the capacity to scare, amaze, im...

  • Abstract:  The problem begins with genre, which is pretty much played out at this point. Developers tinker with setting, story, and strategies in their zombie games, but this is mostly no different from the your yearly Madden NFL updates; make it look prettier and a...

  • ZombiU has managed what few games in its genre have; it's a real survival horror, with the emphasis on survival. If you need convincing that you'll find real core games on a Nintendo platform, ZombiU will do the trick.ZombiU was reviewed by Geoffrey Tim o...
