  • Abstract:  Like Snake infiltrating Zanzibar, or Sam Fisher sneaking into some foreign enemy base, Dark Sector’s Hayden Tenno stealthily makes his way unto the shores of the fictitious, ex-Soviet, Eastern Bloc country of Lasria. Tenno’s past is a mysterious one...

  • Glaive is very fun to wield and use; shotgun combat is phenomenal; great-looking environments.
  • Other combat is sloppy; many character models are as bland and generic as the plot; fairly weak online.
  • Cliches about imitation and flattery aside, the most inevitable comparison that many have made regarding Digital Extremes Dark Sector is that its a Gears of War clone. Theres some truth to that statement, but the game evokes more than simply Epics ...

  • Killing enemies with the glaive never gets old, Protagonists abilities make him a lot of fun to control, Mostly intelligent enemies and varied boss battles.
  • Only two multiplayer modes, Storytelling is pitiful.
  • Dark Sector lacks the compelling storyline that it alludes to early on, but offers plenty of enjoyable combat nonetheless. ...

  • Abstract:  It was almost four years ago that Digital Extremes announced it was working on Dark Sector, a third-person action game now available for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Better action games have come and gone since then, regardless of which console...

  • Abstract:  The best covert operatives exploit every advantage they can find, and Hayden Tenno, the star of Dark Sector, has got a few unique tricks up his form-fitting sleeves. Unfortunately, he also spends a fair amount of time fumbling around in the dark.

  • Abstract:  VIDEO: Head over to our videos page to check out all Dark Sector footage!Dark Sector, apart from being a blatant Gears of War clone, proves that throwing a boomerang can be as much fun as firing a gun. Look around at screenshots and videos of the game ...

  Published: 2008-03-25, review by: armchairempire.com

  • Abstract:  Dark Sector is a depressing game filled with biological weapons gone awry, huge mutated freaks, and enough gore and severed limbs to rival a real-life slaughter house. That said, it’s actually pretty fun, particularly the all-purpose “glaive”, which ...
