  • Abstract:  BenQ have always made excellent projectors and with the W1070 they have brought in a new age where you can buy a Full HD projector with good colour and true 3D capability for under $1000...

  • The BenQ W1070 offers very good picture quality for the price, including respectable black levels and excellent color accuracy. 3D playback is excellent
  • No 3D glasses are included, and they cost $99 each. Low-level shadow detail is crushed. With the 3D upgrades, the Epson 3020 could be a better option
  • If you want a huge, good-looking image for a little money, few come close to the BenQ W1070 projector.

  • Abstract:  The BenQ W1070 is a great little home video projector that produces a 2D image that looks more expensive than it is. High light output and great shadow detail help the W1070 stand up to ambient light, while extensive color controls and solid factory ca...

  • If you can purchase this W1070 projector for under $1000, then I can't think of a better value at the moment in a low cost 3D capable projector.Oh, this is certainly a projector with minimal frills. But, if you can live without fancy features like CFI for...

  • Clear, bright images, Compact, Good contrast levels with deep blacks and punchy whites
  • Takes time to set up, lacks subtlety with dark scenes, Motion could be better, 3D glasses extra
  • Compared with some of its previous efforts, BenQ doesn't quite hit the mark with the W1070; it's an enthusiastic and glossy picture, but the W1070 is outperformed by some price rivals. See all projector Best Buys Follow whathifi.com on Twitter0 Join ...

  • With images better suited to home cinema than PC output, the BenQ W1070 is a very well priced model that looks great and works well. You'll need to spend some time grappling with its controls, and we'd recommend using SmartEco on a regular basis. For thos...

  • Exceptional value, strong out of the box picture performance, ISF certified
  • Pictures are a touch noisy, dark 3D scenes lack a little depth, no 3D glasses included for free

  • Inexpensive, Works directly with HDMI 1.4a devices, Built, in speaker
  • Shows rainbow artifacts unusually often, Only works with 144Hz 3D glasses
  • Anyone who sees rainbow artifacts easily, or worries that someone else may be bothered by them, is well advised to stay away from the BenQ W1070 and focus on LCD projectors. If the rainbow effect isn't an issue for you, however, the BenQ W1070 has a lot ...
