As with other Blackberry devices, the Blackberry Torch 9800 is beautifully made. The faux leather rear case gives a tactile feel, and chrome highlights add a touch of style and quality. The sliding mechanism works well, and the Torch 9800 feels great in hand. It's the keyboard that sets this phone aside from its rivals, however. The QWERY keyboard may be a bit smaller than some of the other hands
The Blackberry Torch 9800 is a big phone, and thicker and heavier than most of its rivals. Granted, devices like the Apple iPhone 4 don't have a beautiful keyboard for emailing, but if you're after a pocket-friendly device this probably isn't the handset for you. The operating system on this phone also lags behind the best, feeling slightly old and clunky.
If you're a Blackberry fan, and want a touchscreen smartphone, the Blackberry Torch 9800 won't disappoint. It's not quite as slick as some of its touchscreen rivals, but it's every bit as good in terms of build quality, and the QWERTY keyboard is a joy...

The BlackBerry Torch 9800 isn't RIM's finest device by some margin. If you like sliders it may appeal, but try the keyboard before you buy to make sure it is neither too small nor too fiddly for you. The new OS 6, on the other hand, offers much that is...
Abstract: The BlackBerry Torch 9800 is an important mobile phone for RIM. It's a fact that previous incarnations of the BlackBerry have been more suitable for business users, which is starting to prove off-putting for the mainstream consumer, so with sales of th...
Thankfully these days software is more important than hardware and RIM has made major steps with BlackBerry OS 6. Style and swagger has never been the main selling point in buying a BlackBerry, but now it does have a visual polish which eclipses Android –...
There is a lot to like about the Torch. The OS is easier to use then previous versions, and the combination of touchscreen and keyboard works well. However, the media playback is too erratic, the camera is too average, it feels slow when browsing and t...
