The Nokia Lumia 1520 is yet another corker from the Finnish manufacturer. The brand has really pulled it out of the bag this year, with rapid product releases and well-made, well-performing devices. The 1520 is no different. It has a fantastic screen, feel...
Massive, bright and clear display, Impressive camera with fantastic low-light performance, Bristling with power, Top-notch build quality
Apps. Or rather, the lack of them, No special treats to make the most of the big screen, Camera can be slow to shoot
The 1520 is the biggest, most powerful Windows Phone to date, and continues Nokia's legacy of pushing the Windows Phone envelope. While it might not have the large sensor of the Lumia 1020 , its camera is still hugely impressive, producing shots that ar...
Lack of creativity; Bulky square body; Windows Phone rather limited
The screen is crisp and bright, and the 20MP snapper is impressive, although the big screen could do with some creative apps and accessories to show it off.Pros: Bright, sharp display; Roomy desktops; Powerful well-supported snapper; Impressive battery li...

Lacking creativity; Bulky rectangular build; Windows Phone still limited

Great high-definition screen; Attractive, sturdy design; Powerful processor; Good battery life; Decent camera

Excellent build, fantastic camera and options, beautiful screen, good battery life, Glance screen, Black OS will bring plenty more with it - including raw file capture from camera
Switching connections on and off is a pain, might be too big for some, could be missing a few apps you want
The Nokia Lumia 1520 has to be the best Windows Phone 8 handset on the market. It's certainly the best Lumia we've used to date. That's not just thanks to the reassuringly high quality build, but also thanks to the new Black OS. The OS version we'v...
Expandable storage with microSD card, most powerful Windows Phone device with quadcore processor, large Full HD screen, decent camera, good battery, Nokia software tweaks
Might be too big for some, Windows Phone app store still understocked
The Lumia really is a highly competent and thoughtfully designed phablet device. If photography skills are more important to you than sheer size and raw power, the Lumia 1020 is still the phone for you, but if you want the best all-round ...
