Nokia Lumia 520 – ReviewRonnie Whelan April 22, 2013The Nokia Lumia 520 was released a couple of weeks ago, so I rushed out and bought one so that I could review it for you lovely people (how selfless, right?). I set it up, gave it a first impressions rev...
Excellent value for money, Great build quality and design, Good performance, Nice camera
Display has problems in bright light, No camera flash, Windows Phone 8 app ecosystem lacking
We've been very impressed by the Lumia 520 and it exceeded many of our expectations. It's very good-looking, very well-made and offers a similar Windows Phone 8 experience to higher-tier models. The camera, display and overall end-user experience are well...
Good screen, Nice freebie Nokia apps, Swappable back covers, MicroSD support
Suspect battery life, No digital compass
The Nokia Lumia 520 is an impressive handset. A lot is crammed in despite the low price, and I'd be inclined to recommend it over the Lumia 620 as much better value for money. Specifications Network GSM 850/900/1800/1900 HSPA 900/2100 Processor Dual-core...

Affordable price; Excellent screen; Decent bundled apps, especially sat-nav; Colourful changeable covers; Expandable storage and swappable battery
Lacklustre rear camera; No front-facing camera; Unimpressive battery; Windows Phone app store still lags rivals
The Nokia Lumia 520 offers useful Nokia apps, a decent screen and a dual-core processor -- the same specs you'll find on the much more expensive Lumia 720. Unless you crave a better camera, the 520 is a total bargain....

Super cheap, Large, expansive screen, Loads of innovation
No front, facing camera, Average battery, No NFC or compass
The Lumia 520 looks good, it's got a decent screen both in terms of size and resolution, it rarely stutters or slows down, it's great for calls and messaging, reasonable for media and okay for photos. To achieve a lower price point than the Lumia 620 it ha...

Abstract: Nokia has announced a new entry level smartphone within the Lumia family, as it looks to drive down the price of Windows Phone even lower. The new Lumia 520 will be a budget offering, but still pack most of the features found on the company's flagship de...
