  • Unique compact design, Android 2.1 and MotoBlur UI, good messaging input, multiple syncing options, good battery life
  • Low-res screen, no camera flash, not great for browsing

  • Tons of social networking features, great email, unique design, Android OS is user friendly...
  • Too busy for all but the most hardcore social networker, pixelated display makes the phone feel low-rent, dismal cameraLook and Feel...
  • A decent Android phone, but its key feature – social networking – gives the phone an overly busy feel for anyone who isn’t obsessive about it ...

  • To tell the truth, I don't know who this device is aimed at and don't understand what it can attract with other than its toy appeal. Nor do I know who can be attracted to the SE X10 mini and mini pro or the Nokia X5 announced yesterday. Those are all ...

  • Five-row QWERTY keyboard, responsive touchscreen, full benefits and functions of Android OS
  • Low-res display, awkward design, questionable build quality, odd screen aspect ratio has a negative effect on some apps
  • Motorola has tried something different with the Flipout Android smartphone, but the end result is a clunky-feeling handset that is awkward to use. The Flipout is relatively cheap, but its display has a low resolution and an odd aspect ratio. There are muc...

  • Android 2.1 OS. Interchangeable battery covers. Decent battery life
  • Low quality display. Cramped QWERTY keyboard. Sometimes sluggish processing
  • Everything good about the Flipout is attributable to Google's Android and not Motorola. The handset design is novel but is more focused on style than the way we use our phones....

  • Overall, we liked the Flipout, especially when you consider the cost: In the UK it seems to be exclusive to Orange and is available for free on their “Dolphin20″ plan which gives you unlimited texts and 200 free minutes per month. If you don't want to be t...

  • Superb build quality, Great keyboard, Easy to use interface
  • Small, low res screen, Slowish processor, Poor camera, Intriguing but somewhat pointless form factor
  • Another Motorola tweak is the addition of the Phone Portal, which once setup with the included software lets you sync your phone's content over Wi-Fi, which is a surprisingly liberating and useful ability. As well as Motorola's tweaks the review sample we...

  • Quirky design, Connected music player, Motoblur is a clever system, Small overall size when closed, Accessible microSD card slot
  • Motoblur is cramped in the small screen, Camera is poor, Android 2.1 unlikley to be upgraded, Physical keyboard is only so-so, Web browsing is painful
  • Motorola has followed up an improving range of Android devices with the lacklustre Motorola Flipout. While the Flipout carries many of the same software facets as the Defy – Motoblur, DLNA, connected media player, they're cramped into a small screen that...
