  • At $180 and $220 unlocked, the Moto G still offers a good deal for the price, Snapdragon 410 is a solid upgrade to the old Snapdragon 400's CPU performance, LTE, Much better battery life than the second-generation model, Solid and well-built plastic frame
  • Qualcomm's low-end GPU performance is becoming more of a problem, $180 base model comes with half the storage and, more crucially, half the RAM, Single-band 802.11n Wi-Fi was underwhelming in 2013, and it's downright obnoxious now, Motorola's update track

  • Customizable via Moto Maker, Curved design, IPx7 water resistance, Snappy performance, Lean, simple interface, Excellent value for money, Camera is great in good light, Solid battery life
  • Average 720p display with poor viewing angles, Camera is rubbish in low light, Non-removable battery, Rear cover uses snap-on design, possible water damage if not careful
  • Motorola's Moto G range was arguably the first premium entry-level smartphone, but other handsets are vying for its crown. The Moto G 2015 bumps up the specs and keeps an affordable price tag and while it's not perfect, it's definitely impressive...

  • The Moto G went from being a great entry-level device to now to a great mid-ranger ideal for those needing of a burner phone or 1st smartphone for older family members/teens.  Long battery life, customization from Moto Maker, the awesomeness of Motorola...

  • Inexpensive, Water-resistant design, Higher quality design, Smooth performance, Stock Android, Fast cameras that take good photos, Double chop gesture to launch Flashlight, Customizable options through Moto Maker
  • Processor and battery life didn't see any real boosts, 8GB of internal storage is too little, 2GB model costs $40 extra, Stereo speakers replaced with mono

  • Curved back makes it easy to grip and hold, build quality looks and feels more premium this time around, backplates are customizable and removable, the phone is IPX7 certified and waterproof, very good display, camera has been improved and now is above av
  • Battery is not removable, no NFC
  • Motorola has improved the Moto G everywhere it needed improvement. To that effect, the camera is vastly better, it's now waterproof, the battery capacity has been increased, and the build quality feels even more premium this time around. As a matter o...

  • Very cheap, Great performance, Stylish design
  • Inconsistent camera, Dull display, Large body
  • More times than not, the Verge score is based on the average of the subscores below. However, since this is a non-weighted average, we reserve the right to tweak the overall score if we feel it doesn't reflect our overall assessment and price of the produ...

  • The new Moto G has improved design, water resistance and a stepped-up camera. The design and hand feel are great, and the battery lasts more than a full day
  • Processor speed lags if you're trying to do many things at once. The entry-level version (8GB of storage, 1GB of RAM) is too underpowered compared to the slightly pricier step-up model
  • With added water resistance and a better camera, the LTE-enabled Moto G is one of the best affordable unlocked smartphones around right now...

  • The Moto G is a hard smartphone to beat. It's a winner on almost all fronts, and its $180 price tag gives it a killer edge over competing handsets. In the plus column: it's waterproof; is customizable through Moto Maker; offers good battery life, signal p...

  • Abstract:  “The Moto G 3rd-gen is no wimp when it comes to photography skills”If you ask us, one of the most compelling features the third iteration of the Moto G (unboxing | first impressions) has in its favour is its waterproof design. The addition of this one fea...

  • Price: In this price range, there are a lot of competitors these days. Like the ASUS Zenfone 2, and the Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3. But Motorola continues to deliver with the Moto G, Performance: Yeah it's running a Snapdragon 410, but don't discount the 410
  • Camera: While it has improved, I'm not sure everyone is going to love this camera, No Moto Voice: Arguably one of Motorola's best features, is missing here. Not a huge surprise but would have love to have it available on the Moto G, No Waving for Moto Dis
  • The Moto G first launched as a “cheap” flagship. While it didn't have the specs of its older brother the Moto X, it still performed quite well. It also got fast updates, and gave its users everything it needed. 2 years later and the Moto G still delive...
