  • priced well, fantastic battery life, smooth performance
  • Verizon exclusive version loaded with bloatware, Camera software interface could use some work
  • It won't win any speed contests, but nice design, epic battery life, and an affordable price make this phone a winner...

  • Abstract:  Update Moto series, Lenovo spent the summer presenting in San Francisco two smartphones – Moto Z Play and Moto Z Force. It so happened that the device not only distinguished by the presence of protection against damage to the screen version of the Force...

  • The Moto Z Play Droid is set to be available on September 8 exclusively on Verizon at first, then in the unlocked market. It's too early to tell if other carriers will join. At a full price of ~$400, the phone seems to carry a good quality/price ratio, bu...

  • Very fast performance, Simple to use, Beautiful, crisp screen, Lots of versatility, Water repellant coating on the outside, Expandable mini SD card memory slot, Customizable gestures are cool,
  • RAW files have issues in the corners that will be fixed by Hasselblad soon, Entire back of the phone is very glossy and is prone to fingerprints, Large, and not very pocketable with a peripheral attached
  • So do I like this phone? It's really pretty good. Would I switch from iOS to this? No. I'm not a fan of larger phones because of the size of my hands and I purposely chose to go to iOS so that I could have the same experience that most of my readers do. I...

  • Modular accessory design that's actually attractive and easy to use. Slim and striking phones, good cameras, clean Android build.
  • 3.5mm headphones requires using the included dongle (can't charge while listening via wired headphones unless you find a Y cable)

  • Nobody could blame you if you found the $999 price-tag attached to last year's Moto Z a bit of a gamble. In fact, it feels like that's the kind of user Motorola are trying to win over here. The Moto Z Play doesn't have the sharpest display or most-powerfu...

  • Attractive slim design; fine overall performance; great screen; unique Moto Mods options
  • No hotspot button on quick menu
  • So, just a standalone phone the Motorola Moto Z is a fine, powerful unit with an excellent screen and strong camera performance. To that we must add the options, which aren't inexpensive, but can provide very useful enhancements to functionality. And it's...

  • Cheapest Moto Z phone yet, Works with all MotoMods, Includes a 3.5mm headphone jack
  • Not a powerful performer, Thicker, even without accessories, Camera won't impress you
  • The Moto Z Play is meant to play, made clear with its headphone jack and long-lasting battery. And everyone is invited thanks to its cheaper price. Just don't expect stellar performance from the chipset or camera on this thicker Moto Z variant...

  • The affordable Moto Z Play works with swappable modular accessories, retains its headphone jack (unlike the more upmarket Moto Z and Z Force) and has a battery that goes on and on
  • The Z Play is the thickest and heaviest phone in the Moto Z series and its fingerprint sensor, annoyingly, can be mistaken for a home button
  • Even if you don't give two licks about its cool modular capabilities, get the Motorola Moto Z for an affordable phone with an impressively enduring battery life...
