  • Slim, sturdy design; intuitive controls; responsive touchpad/keypad
  • Scroll wheel overly sensitive; camera lacks a flash; slow Web browsing on EDGE network

  • Good music player, unique keypad, 3.5mm socket, stereo Bluetooth
  • Rubbish camera, no 3G, somewhat clunky is size
  • The Motorola ROKR E8 is a fantastic music phone, with an innovative keypad to enhance simplicity and usability. Its also very striking in its design, with a very stylish front panel and unusual wedge shape at either end. It makes a great music player...

  • Great looks, with its slender, shiny design; Motorolas best music player to date
  • While innovative, the navigation controls are too sensitive; the operating software still needs work
  • Not quite enough features and functionality for the price to make this phone a must-buy

  • Long story short, the hardware is great, the music interface is decent, the T-Mobile interface sucks. But let's start with the good. Not only do I like build quality, and how the button layout changes according to the phone's function, I also like...

  • Unique design for true button-haters. Great call quality. Good battery life. Lots of onboard memory.
  • Touch instead of buttons doesnt make this phone better.
  • If youre looking for a good music phone on T-Mobile, check out the Nokia 5310 Xpress Music phone, which was slim and responsive with great dedicated music keys, instead of the Motorola ROKR E8, which has no keys at all. There wasnt much to like ab...

  • Positively gorgeous. Excellent voice quality. Plenty of music options. Player works well.
  • Expensive. Uninspiring feature set.
  • The ROKR E8 represents a radical new design for Motorola, but the phone is too expensive and its software seems tired....

  • Beautiful and solid design, Keypad morphs to correspond with applications, Good music-playback quality, CrystalTalk technology cuts down on background noise
  • Awkward arc-shaped scroll wheel, Poor Web browser, Interface feels sluggish at times
  • Most music phones wear their dual personalities on their sleeves with external playback controls that are either too small or unresponsive. Motorola’s ROKR E8 is different. This sleek handset, exclusively available from T-Mobile, literally changes p...

  • Abstract:  It barely seems any time at all has passed since I reviewed Motorola's bendy slider the Z10 , and here I am looking at another new handset from the beleaguered manufacturer. This time the phone in question is the MOTO ROKR E8. Now, I am not going to go o...

  • Abstract:  A year ago, we would have praised the Motorola E8 ROKR as a fine update of its previous ROKRs. Alas, it is not 2007, but 2008 and were deep into the music phone era, with iPhones, Instincts, Chocolates and others vying or your musical ear. As a result...
