  • The Oppo R7 packs premium design into a slim, luxurious metal package. It also features Oppo's patented fast charging and you can easily get hold of it in major western markets
  • The phone is expensive for its midrange hardware, and its battery life isn't that good
  • Oppo's R7 looks great, but the $400 price tag will push potential buyers away -- you can get another phone just as good for less, or a better one for slightly more...

  • Flash charging, Under £250, 4G, premium looks, robust battery, DualSIM option, expandable memory, same camera tech as on some Galaxy S6
  • Still running Android 4.4, Only works on 4G with EE and 3, 16GB internal storage only
  • A fabulous phone, the Oppo R7 has made flagships costing over £400 look overpriced and under-powered. The phone over reaches in its aim to be an iPhone 6 lookalike and it ends up looking more like an iPhone 5 than 6 with the squarer edges. It comes with a...

  • Abstract:  Back in May the Oppo R7 and Oppo R7 Plus were made official. The phones released first for China and are now coming to further markets. The smaller of the two phones is the R7, and some readers may be trying to decide whether to purchase it. With that in...

  • Cheap price in China, Lovely metal design, Stunning camera
  • Battery seems low, Restricted ColorOS 2.1, Lacking R7 Plus features, Only 16GB storage option
  • Oppo's new addition to the R family is an improvement on the R5 but doesn't impress as much as the R7 Plus....

  • The time has come for us to part ways with the Oppo R7 and it's not the least bit easy. Beautifully designed and executed, the handset grew on us. Whether it took 48 or 84 polishing processes and whether the glass is 2.5D or else is irrelevant. The overal...

  • Abstract:  Oppo knows that you always split aces, so the new R7 comes in two versions. The 5" Oppo R7 and 6" R7 Plus share a lot - both are metal-clad knights, with 1080p AMOLED screens, they shoot 13MP images through Schneider-Kreuznach certified optics and they offer practical dual-SIM connectivity....

  • Runs smoothly, SIM card slot doubles up as card reader, lots of handy gesture controls
  • Runs on outdated Android, battery life could be better
  • The R7 may be slim but it's packed with handy features. The gesture controls, for instance, made it easy to access the camera and start playing music. It's also an attractive phone with a nice metallic design, gorgeous screen and decent cameras.Whether you...

  • At 2499 CNY (RM1460), the Oppo R7 makes a pretty compelling case for itself. However, it only comes in a choice-restricting 16GB. You can right the wrong via its expandable memory of up to 128GB, but we'd have prefer it come naturally in the first place...

  • Abstract:  THE STRAITS TIMES DIGITAL BEST VALUE With cheap Chinese handsets, the common expectation is a phone with build quality that lacks heft and feels fragile. This is especially so with smaller devices, with many coming across looking more like a toy than a...
