  • Ridiculously simple, No apps to add to your iOS device, Share your USB printer between iOS devices and your desktop computer
  • None, except I haven't figured out how to feed the magic printing elves that live inside this thing.

  • Supports up to 2 Network printers, Supports up to 8 USB printers (USB hub required), Printer support for over 4000 printer models, Autoscan discovers printers and downloads drivers automatically, Good phone support with limited wait time
  • Limited control of print functions from iOS device, Difficult to add unsupported printers, Kodak AIO printers not supported
  • I like the idea of a hardware print server.  For me, it makes economic sense to try to get a few more years out of a printer before I retire it.  Unfortunately, it doesn't look like xPrintServer support for Kodak printers will be forthcoming any time soon...

  • Abstract:  Sometimes an odd product finds its way into our office and this week we have one of those very items. The xPrintServer Home from Lantronix is a networking device that easily configures existing printers on your home or office network to work with the...

  • Gives iOS 4.2 (or later) devices printing capability on most networked and USB printers. Nohassle setup: In most cases, printers are autodiscovered. Compact design. Physical installation is easy
  • Pricey; only makes sense if your printer can't be replaced for under 0. Pages print in annoying, if effective, staccato bursts. Power cable requires extra electrical outlet near router. It's all about AirPrint — no current Android support

  • Abstract:  Although you could buy a low-end AirPrint-ready printer for the same price, Lantronix's xPrintServer Home Edition ($100) will allow your older, trusted printer to communicate with iOS devices. It's designed to be a plug-and-play setup: just connect th...

  • simple, automatic printing for iOS devices
  • expensive, USB printers need to be close to your router
  • The high UK price means that the xPrintServer will probably appeal primarily to business users who have multiple printers. Even so, its sheer simplicity will still appeal to many home users, and it may still be cheaper than having to buy a completely new...
