  • Abstract:  What’s unusual is Linksys’ dual-band performance. Simultaneous dual-band means the router can communicate to one client (or more) on the 2.4GHz band and another on 5GHz. The two bands can’t be bonded for a single client, but you can, for example, put your video streaming..

  • Abstract:  Netgears RangeMax failed me when it came to signal strength; as much as I wanted to avoid Linksys brand of routers, I was left with no other choice but to go with what I knew would likely work best, and that was the Linksys Simultaneous Dual-N Band Wi...

  • The dual-band Linksys WRT610N doesn’t come cheap but this is an advanced-spec router, with USB storage and great performance. The dual-band feature is most useful for those with a mixture of 2.4 and 5GHz clients....

  • Allows simultaneous connections, incredible granularity in configuration; no need to restart for most configuration changes.
  • Mac setup tool not mature; WPS incompatible with Leopard; basic storage control failures; file sharing broken.
  • Linksys has tried to improve the WRT610N and make it easier for Mac users to work with. But it has not succeeded. All the problems I found could be solved through firmware updates to fix obvious bugs, and better packaging and explanation of its softwa...

  • Compact, internal antenna design; supports both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz Draft N simultaneously; network-attached storage functionality; runs cool; supports Wi-Fi-Protected Setup.
  • Short one-year warranty; 2.4GHz close-range and mixed-mode throughput could be better; expensive.
  • The WRT610N can satisfy both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz wireless clients with its solid performance, great design, ease of use, and its ability to work as a network storage device when coupled with an external hard drive. Price range: $149.99 - $199.99

  • Great. Even though the outside shell has changed from the traditional utilitarian Linksys blue and charcoal to a shiny dust-magnet black, the innards still carry on their workmanlike quality. We placed it on the second floor of our three floor house a...

  • Broadcasts two separate networks; great LELA software; good 5GHz performance; can add USB storage to a network; WPS support
  • USB storage configuration could be easier; setup leaves out crucial step; no print server
  • The Linksys WRT610N is a solid, all-around dual-band router that takes the pain out of administering a network. Its not the fastest Draft N router weve tested, but its very easy to administer thanks to its LELA software....

  • Abstract:  Linksys WRT610N is a simultaneous dual-N band router. Traditionally, wireless connections were done only on the 2.4 GHz band – which means most of your wireless devices such as your phones, mouse, keyboard, and others are sharing the same crowded chan...
