  • Antiphishing feature slows down Web browsing in IE, doesnt work in other browsers; settings, help somewhat simplistic
  • You dont have to be a novice to find lots to like in Symantecs comprehensive new system-protection package. Even if it doesnt do everything we might like, its still a major improvement over the bloatware weve become accustomed to. ...

  • Norton 360 is mercifully light on system resources; its intuitive, covers most of the bases that a comprehensive security-and-performance tool should, and includes free online storage.
  • Norton 360 doesnt support Firefox or Opera browsers; doesnt include wireless security tools, doesnt provide an ID vault for passwords or credit card info.
  • For home and student use, we think Norton 360 represents the best value for ease of use, tools offered, and overall system performance. We recommend it over McAfee Total Protection and Microsoft Windows Live OneCare.
