  • The packaging is typically uninspired recycled cardboard and polyethylene – there's a lot to pack in, so they've aimed for utility over form. Hidden under the main headset, inside one of the bags, is a mass of cabling and adapters.AdvertisementWhat in the...

  • Great when it works, Smartphone support
  • Needs a lot of adjustment, Feels awkward
  • When you've nailed that sweet spot, the HMZ-T3W is a neat bit of kit. But even after the adjustments Sony has made it still feels like this is just a luxury product, especially considering the price. But if Sony really has been working on a dedicated PS4...

  • Between its steep $1,300 price tag and multiple shortcomings, I can't recommend the Sony HMZ-T3W wearable HDTV to anyone. But Sony's definitely on to something here. In another two or three hardware generations, a head mounted display like the HMZ-T3W cou...

  • Amazing picture
  • You'll look like an idiot, only 720p
  • There is no doubting that the HMZ-T3W is impressive. We laughed when it came through the door, and others had a good giggle at our expense too. You'll probably do the same by seeing the accompanying pictures in the review - complete with mo' for Mov...

  • Abstract:  Google Glass not your thing? Not a problem, why not opt for Sony’s huge goggles instead — which Sony envision being a normal sight on planes, trains and just about everywhere. We can’t say we see it happening just yet, and there’s several reasons why we’d ...

  • Abstract:  Space is at a premium in Japan, so we can see where the inspiration for the Sony HMZ-T3W head-mounted display came from. It's a headset that beams two 720p HD screens straight to your eyes as if staring at a 750-inch screen 20-metres away. It's also bonk...

  • Good image quality, Excellent 3D for gaming
  • Expensive, Tricky to fit
  • The Sony HMZ-T3W isn't for everyone thanks to its high price and tricky fit. However, it is a good starting place for what to expect from the Project Morpheus headset, and makes a good case for 3D VR gaming.Next, read our Project Morpheus vs Oculus Rift c...

  • As Sony's third-gen head-mounted viewer, the HMZ-T3W looks like the most convincing yet. The streamlined design and introduction of wireless streaming capability are compelling upgrades and we look forward to testing it out in full.Sony HMZ-T3W release da...
